What makes an accurate number is always going back to the same dyno.

There are calculations you can do based off of flow that can give you an idea if your numbers are accurate or not.

I ran a number of tests prior to hitting the dyno with my current setup, and all numbers led to what she put down the day she was on the rollers.

Yea. I'd like to see what kind of difference there is for the dynos near my location... I'll take #10 spot for now though lol.
I don't see anymore go fast parts until I get a suspension and new wheels.

ROADKONE added.

ROADKONE, when you get a chance, log how much your car is flowing. I'm curious.

Thanks.

I'm a noob with HPT so what do you mean by flowing... Air flow?

Not sure what you're looking for... But here's the log 4th gear to 6k as of last night... Not sure
I am totally new to HPT so I have no clue what I should be looking at here.

The log that does not show AFR is from logging for a few tweaks from ZZP tune. Not really sure why it wasnt reading. It was also about 20 to 30 degrees cooler outside. 40s-50s (april) the full log pic ia also from April... Last night it was 76 degrees out.

If this isnt what youre looking for then PM me and let me know.

Thank you for the logs.

From the logs, it looks like you're flowing a touch over 20 lbs/min at 6k rpm. For comparison sake, I flow 29 lbs/min at 6k rpm & 39 lbs/min at 7700 rpm, and my car is making 299 whp.

I do believe your car is making a bit less power than the dynamite led you to believe. Regardless, you have a nice setup, and a strong running car.

For ***** and giggles, there is a thread on here with a calculation for power based off of atmospheric conditions, elevation, & flow. I used it back in the day, and it turned out to be pretty damn accurate. Give it a try.

I am either far from doing the math right here.... or that calculator and equation doesnt work.

Last nights log was at 10pm... using the calulator
Enter Current Air Temperature (OAT) 76 Degrees F
Enter Ambient Barometric Pressure 29.95 Inches Hg
Enter Ambient Relative Humidity 82%
Enter Physical Or Pressure Altitude Feet 594

Calculated Relative Horsepower To Rated 97.5%
Calculated Dynamometer Correction Factor 1.026
Calculated Air Pressure Inches Hg 29.32
Calculated Vapor Pressure Inches Hg .74

MAF read 20.85 at 6k
20.85 x 10 = 208.5
208.5*1.026 = 213.921
213.921*.85 = 181.832

thats impossible with my mods.... and its also impossible because I beat a stock 2010Challenger R/T a few hours after that log was taken.

unless my math is wrong.

I'll have to go back through the log and check my highest maf reading. on the dyno I made peak power at 6600 I believe.

Sorry for double post but got dynod again today with a new downpipe and hptune.

I'm on the list right now at 303/350 I believe but put down a lot more this time around on the same dynojet.

Only about 240 whp is needed to get the same p/w ratio as a bone stock rt that dynod at 332whp. They are very heavy

Got my 2007 Redline on the dyno last night out of boredom. I can tell the catted 2.5" downpipe is holding me back up top, especially since when I unbolted the stock catback it only gained 1whp and 1wtq, and a few more hp with some more tuning. My header has a 3" collector and then slams into a 2.5" flange on the downpipe too, so that probably doesn't help, but mixed with the stock catback its a nice quiet daily driver! I need to get my SMS throttle body back and test that out and take the downpipe off and break that 300 mark when I get bored again!

Stock unported M62.

Very nice!!! Would be a good race against my car

Nice comparison for H62 vs. M62 with small pulley since we have similar mods.

Yeah that turbulence from the 3" into the 2.5" is def holding back the flow a bit.

It would be a damn good race! Next time I may compare the 2.9 that I have sitting around with the 2.7 I have on there.

You can tell there is a restriction from how it flattens out up top. Sounds stock with the stock catback on there haha!

Damn good power for a semi restrictive exhaust setup.

I bet when you match the header with a 3" downpipe the curve will climb again up top.

It says peak power is at 6800rpm... that's stock cam peak power area. Def. restricted. My car makes peak power at 7600-7700rpm. Can't wait to see what it does when you open up the flow.

My head/cams setup is a little odd to me. I peaked power on the stock cams and 2.9" TVS around 7500-7600, and peaked power with the 2.6" TVS and S2 cams at the same rpm. However, on the cams my boost falls before redline, instead of a steady climb. So the combo is either outflowing the blower (even on the TVS), or the cams aren't playing nicely. Either way the exhaust is the main cause of the flatter power up top on this setup now!

Yeah.... I remember you always mentioning your boost would fall off up top.

Threw my car back on the dyno last night to make sure its healthy for next season. Only changes from last time were more wastegate spring pressure to hold boost up top, and I also learned how to properly load my dyno for higher hp turbo cars so it can replicate the street better (there is a learning curve to this!).

When doing these pulls I left my tune on it that I run on the street and track 100% of the time. There is probably a little left in it timing wise, but with this timing curve I know that I can grab 5th and stretch its legs to 170mph if I have to without a hint of knock, and I've tested that I started at 25 psi or so for some pulls and never touched the tune as I turned it up since I had it all dialed in last time I was on the dyno. Ended at 35 psi.
