GM Factory paint
So I bought my 09 Cobalt SS last July so I haven't even owned it a year yet. Since it has been really nice out I gave it a good detail. First a little side note, during winter I have at least washed my car once a week with a pressure hose at a local car wash. So I keep it fairly clean. So after detailing it I'm disappointed in how the paint already went to **** on my front bumper and barely my hood. I have all these dimples in the clean coat that just about completely cover the front bumper and some nice chips here and there. I don't rid peoples asses and try to stay back far off tractor trailers when on the highway. Anyone else have this problem with the car? I even paid for that paint protection coating when I bought the car. I guess having a black car doesn't help either...

Dimples? probobly just rock chips. I have thema ll over my front bumper. Every daily driven car does. But since you have black and primer is gray, usually they stick out alot more. There really isnt anything that can be done, some manufacturers have an anti-chip coating. But then that stuff can never be wetsanded or buffed as if you get a scratch in it or trash, the anti-chip coating wont let the buffer take it out. Pretty much stuck. Get a car bra

Yeah by dimples I mean it's not like a normal chip (which I have a lot already) it's more like the clear coat took a beating but didn't chip off if that makes any sense. Car bra? Those things are hideous lol. I know every car will do this but my 03 honda seemed to look better up front after 6 years then this but it was red. Would a clay bar help out?
