No you RICER, its not a Cavalier!
When my car grows up it wants to be a Z06 Corvette
The 08 (maybe 09) will have a turbo of about 270hp. That should satisfy most of you. Torque steer may be a problem.

If you need more hp, get a used C5 Vette 1997-2004. The prices will be similar (for the early years) compared to a new turbo Cobalt.

I own a Cobalt SS/SC because it does a great job as a low cost, economical, quick car that is a blast around town. Many of you guys don't realize what a great car the Cobalt is. Stage II makes it even better once you get beyond 1st gear. It is incredible to have a Cobalt capable of 140+. FWD inherently limits hp because of torque steer and kills "off the line" performance as well. A used Vette or 09 Impala SS should be the next step up in performance for Chevy fans. Study hard, be excellent at what you do and keep your sights on the current Z06. It is killer. Get yours before you are a 54 year old Geezer (like me). In the meantime, enjoy the Cobalt for what it is--fun!

The funny thing is, I've seen quite a few older fellows around me who bought s/c's. I think it's pretty cool. haha.

The Cobalt is a great car for what it is. Sure, there's some quirks and build quality flukes, but the overall idea and performance can't be denied.

Just because you have the new Z06!!!
