How in the hell can the originator of this thread only have one rep box? This is one of the most performed mod's for an ss/sc . Everyone that has used this post for a reference should be dishing out some REP!

ok so after going thru all 3000 pages ive came to this conclusion. To install the dryflow on the stock airbox, u have to disconnect the negative battery cable and thats all, anything else to dissconnect?

The AEM Dryflow Part Number is 212110DK. I ordered mine from Advanced Auto Parts (since I had some gift cards). The price was $57.00.
I did not disconnect my battery cable. I drove it for a day or two and after I ran over 100 the engine light came on but went off after a few more miles of driving. Disconnecting the battery is a good practice though.

go to a local autoparts and look for a spectre filter.
lordco said they would shipp it....but then its 80 bucks + shipping fees + upto 6 weeks...
i might as well buy a full CAI...
k...if i were to get just any random filter...what would be the exact sizes without wrecking the airbox?!
and from one site...the filter was 43 bucks while shipping was 68....-_-" so rediculous...
i went back to ask lordco this other guys said he might be able to get me one by tomorrow
for 75 bucks....definately a rip off but oh well...theres never anything in canada....we get everything last...or dont get it at all..
You don't have to mod the spectre. Pull out one of the 2 inner rings and clamp it down tight. I tried to pull my out like this and had a hell of a time. It isn't going anywhere.
i went to pep boy a spectre filter and put that one and left the bottom of the housing off.. haha i have an extra plug to a sensor that i think goes to the outside temp guage for the DIC.. i couldn't find it so i was like whatever, it was getting dark.. the filter i got is too long though i had to rig the plastic ****.. i took the headlight out, made it a hell lot easier.. no CEL though.. but i ran over a curb lol.. now i i have to fix that haha im pissed..
