2.0 LSJ Engine: How to plug your SC silencer holes
Mine are still perfect, I checked them for the first time back in November when I pulled all my intake and TB apart for cleaning. Almost 60000 km on them, lots of hard driving. Looks like I just did them yesterday.
I used Permatex Cold Weld for mine, and I took a dremel and made a notch grove in the holes before I filled them.
Sorta like this if you can imagine: < > (the blank space in the middle being the hole).
That way if the plugs ever did come loose of the blower, they'd be trapped within the hole at least.
Edit: This is from page four, exactly what I mean, although I only did one rib:

let ^^^ do your SC! i want some piccccs. as for the holes, i wanna do something like this when i prep the holes for the quiksteel:

i think if i beveled the top and bottom, and put a few deep impressions in all around the circumference of the hole, like the pic shows, it'll stay like a champ. can't wait for the stage kit so i can do this!!!
oh and... MSPAINT FTW lmao

Just curious, if the concern is with the epoxy failing over time, why not just use an aluminum plate to cover those holes ? Drill and tap some bolt holes, use Loctite and sleep easy. This is also good if ever you wish to reverse this mod. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

If you had some plates to give the epoxy something to grab it would be great, or you could have them tack welded in to be permanent but still could be cut off if needed.

One thing i still struggle with thinking abuot this project is whether the entire hole must be plugged or if a simple plate welded on the outside would work.
i mean sure the blockoff would be there but now you have 2 pockets where air gets trapped

Well thats the thing blowers arent supposed to have any pressure inside them.
Another observation i think the rotors passing over the plated airholes might not matter since the airflow would work like a revolving door. But would it still be as effective in making more whine...

since this old thread was bumped recently, I should probably tell the story. Buddy of mine did this exact mod to his supercharger a couple years back, well i wanna say about october or so of last year we had his blower off the car after running this mod for roughly 3 years, and half of the "quickweld" was missing, engine ate all of it. Motor ran fine, its possible it broke up into small enough pieces to pass right through the motor, but if you willing to risk your motor and your blower for this silly mod just know that it will eventually fail on you.
