2.0 LSJ Engine: Injen intake installed (2.0 SS)
I got my Injen from NGA and fitted it today. The instructions Rusty posted are pretty accurate. The factory ones are crap. I also found that taking out the driver's side headlamp helps too. I've had zero clearance problems anywhere. Sounds awesome too!

I know this is an old thread but the tips you all have supplied here paid off. I used the rubber strip to protect the intake and a towel around the front support in the engine bay to keep it from scratching it up. Thanks for your all's help.
Took me about 45 minutes to an hour, and that was with time looking over my new to me car. This is the first mod done to my virgin 2007 Cobalt SS/SC.
I have a bunch of pics to add and I will upload those tonight when I get more time. Oh and I bought mine from a seller on ebay (performance-parts2008 aka velocity mania) for 194 bucks!

Injen SP CAI install tips
Crappy Restrictive long bent tube intake, Even with the airbox mod it still has to twist through that plastic crap.

Stock tube length comared to Injen intake. Stock has more bends and length.

A good comparison of the deep bends in the stock intake over a CAI

This is the supplied rubber gasket that comes with the kit, very handy at keeping your intake looking new and to stop vibration, wear, etc. I love the details of this kit.

Used lithium grease to ease the install of the filter, its fender location after the tube was installed was difficult due to the angles. This made it a lot easer to slide onto the tube.

Carb tag, someone asked about it earlier.

In this picture you can see the rubber nub that I installed over the bolt that others claimed to scratch the intake. I just used a rag stuffed between the pipe and the yellow radiator support and it worked better than anythning else. My intake would have been scratched up more if I had not used a rag over it. Be mindful of this if you are about to install one.

From the ground looking up into the fender/bumper, you can see the black rubber mount that included in the Injen kit. This is such a great thoughout kit its worth the 194 bucks I paid for it. You can bend that aluminum bracket to keep it off the bumper, I have at least a half inch to an inch of space between the filter and the bumper.

Sound clips coming, for some reason they wont work here at my office.
