may 8th is the only OPEN practice day i see in their calander. and its 200 no matter what to run on the track and its good for all day. its $200 for the class and that apply's to sportbikes only + $100 to ride on the course all day after the class session is over.

other then that, you have to rent the track

You can join the VIR Club. 2,000 one time initiation fee and then its 175 per month to drive it any time you want

i just sent an email to them asking for more info on it because their website really isnt very clear if they even have open track days. I know for the sportbikes, their is a club that rents it out but lets anyone that has gone through the race school to join them on the track.

If you guys get something going at VIR I will def be there. I'm arriving in VA in early February. Also, anybody know of the closest NHRA track to Chesapeake? I've been bracket racing here for 2 years and want to be able to keep it going.

VMP = Virginia Motorsports Park. Near pettersburg VA. If your car is faster then 14 seconds they require you to wear a helmet.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to come along. I don't discriminate when it comes to cars unless someone wants to be an ass about things.

Well, I don't know anything about the bike scene but I agree with what you're saying. I don't care about who is better, I just want to be able to run somewhere that I don't have to worry about losing my license or car for driving as fast as I want.

i some what agree about the "who's better then who" crap. i can respect anybody and everybody that has put hard work and money to their car. but there does come to point where hard work just becomes plain ugly. so beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but theres no excuse for ignorance.

Exactly..., be proud of what you have or have done, but don't rub it everyone else's faces.

i would suggest either do them when your home or wait until you get back. really hate dealing with electrical stuff and if they blow a fuse while driving late that would suck..
