I'm catless and with muffler Delete. I want to un-delete my muffler...except not with the stock one...
If you tow your car in, bring it in on a trailer, or simply bring in just the pipes that is ok because then they can sign off on "off-road use". But if it's seen being used "on-road" then it's all bad for them. That's just the law, and they're just abiding by it. You can't sign a waiver and be safe with that.

I don't want them to touch my DP...I want them to touch the other end of my exhaust. They could just say that I put the catless DP on after they did the muffler work and that it had cats when it came in.
Read the PDFs. That's considered tampering. You cannot even work on a car at all if it has EPA illegal parts installed. Because then you are "tampering".
Not trying to be a douche or anything about it. A lot of shops do not abide by federal regulations, but then again they charge 300 dollars just to hang an exhaust.
Whereas my brother's work does all sorts of exhaust work, and to put on and weld an entire exhaust it might cost you 60 bucks (if that).
I've seen people some in with a broken hanger, and they literally just weld it back together for free. Or when there's a few small holes, I've seen them plug the holes for free.
They would be happy to work on your exhaust, they just wouldn't be able to work on it while it's on the car (and honestly, that's still illegal).

Speaking of Father's Day...anyone know where one would be able to purchase those little wood flavored chip thingys for a smoker? I wanna make some smoked wings and other stuff this weekend and I need those...
I bought a hickory chip box from Giant Eagle. Came with the box and the chips.
