As long as you don't run it to 7 or 7200 everyday, I don't see why not. Im telling you now, your IDC will be high, too high, eh, hard to say. I see like 70-75% on 60s with a 2.8 and meth. 60lb(.75) = 45lb. If that is correct, should be atleast close, you will be a little over 100%. And thats at like 6500-7k you will see high IDCs. Only do that from time to time and at the track, I think you would be ok.

Yeah, but see, that tells me it's not running right, because you should ever go over IDC. If you can't take it to full RPM's then it's not running right because the idea is to make more power......whether you drive it calmly as a DD is irrelevant.

the way i drive my car is like this...... throughout the week i drive it normal, shifting at 3k, not getting on it at all. and every once in a while i'll get on it, but its not an everyday thing. and maybe once a week i'll run someone on the highway, but that is very rare. so i'm thinking 2.8, 42s & meth would be fine

Get what you need, run it on 42s. If the IDC is that high and makes you uneasy, get 60s. But the car will be retuned. I have the tools to do it myself, so I just went to 60s, but I could have tried 42s, just didn't. You may have to travel to who knows where, and pay to have it retuned.

Look at the costs involved, and make the best decision.

If you don't care about loosing some MPGs (maybe you won't too), rough idle from time to time (nothing major), and have 200 for injectors and a harness, get 60s.

I agree. However, I ran mine on the stage 2 tune and 2.9 for a year, atleast, including track passes. When I finally got around to HPT, i logged it, the way it was, knocking, bad, on wot runs, and IDC over 100%. Not saying its good, it was what i was.

i go to Tune Time Performance in NJ for my tuning. it's a couple hour drive but i get hooked up. i talked to them on my lunch break about the meth kit can sell & install.... freaking $700 total, screw that. i can do it myself and save $500. i know a guy i can get 60s from, so if i change my mind i can easily get them. you might have already said this but.... when it comes to the IDCs what should they be at?

On 60s, 70ish% Id say. I can always help you do work on it if need be, but I am kinda far away too. Plus I need your car unlocked on HPT. PM me if you have ?'s.

I can vouch, he always wants to touch mine. I would tell the rest of the story, but then you all would not come to the drag strip with us.

Thinking about getting a bigger meth nozzle. Think a 6 gph to hit at 5 psi will work? I have a 3 gph now, I think its like 3.9 at 150 psi. The M5 would be 6 gph at 150 psi.
