Woot... passed my test today in the freezing cold and rain. I now have my class M... and a handy card to get a fat discount on insurance when I get my bike. It was so freakin cold out there today... but the class was fun in case any of you are thinking about taking it.

Time to go watch the rest of the Pens game... they really need to kick it up for the third period.

The Pens really need to refocus for game 4. But its discouraging when the officiating sucks. Its been horrible this whole series so far. Congrats Dan. At the rate that the weather is going, you might be able to ride by the beginning of August. This **** sucks...

 

i second the post on the pens, they need to get their **** together. Also is the weather suppose to be nice for this weekend coming up??

The only thing that sucks about that book is the cam part. They publish a book that you can use to achieve 300 crank reliably but use a set of cams that you cannot purchase. Wes emailed them about it and they said something along the lines of "Yah, we had some extra blanks we sent to Comp, but we (GM's own performance division mind you) can't get anymore blanks, but we will sell you an exhaust ported only head with a stock valvetrain for 1200 bucks."

So, other than the engine R&R, its more of an educational read than an actual build guide

 

This weekend is going to be in the 60's, saturday low 60's, sunday high of 68

 

I guess even with the part numbers it doesnt really matter...that does kinda suck...with the 272 cams would that be a good substitue

or if you can get the cam blanks from GM with a part number

 

Yeah, nothing that a crower regrind cant fix. Just sucks you have to send em your stock cams, but for 150 bucks, eff it, its worth it.

 

I just cant believe that GM wont sell them. It would be great if you could just get blanks...i guess having numbers doesnt really help at all

 

What're the plans for the upcoming weekend? I'm gonna be busy as hell w/ school, but wanna see Dan's ride.

Still gotta get my summer tires on. Waiting for the Interceptor, too...and trying to figure out h/e mounting options. Proally just gonna wait till after the 30th, when school's done.

 

I get back at like 9pm Saturday night so if anyone's out and about in Robinson, I'll already be out that way.

 

Well, I need to see what is going on for this weekend. I should know by Wednesday and if all goes well, and I DON'T have to go to Erie, then I'll be autocrossing @ NP on Sunday.
