Motherfucking old people and their inability to ******* drive. So, I got in a little......incident..........with my car tonight. Got off 119 at Mt. Pleasant onto 819 to Scottdale to visit my grandparents. Come over the hill towards West Overton Museum and there's like a road that comes up at an angle so that cars are pretty much facing traffic head-on when they pull out. I see a car come up and stop, so I keep going, get to maybe 50 yards away, ******* bitch pulls out. I SLAMMED on the brakes (and actually remembered the clutch - GO ME!), started to skid past her, now, had she kept moving or, better yet, sped the **** up, no issues, little hairy but I could have been fine. ******* bitch stops in the middle of the Goddamn road. I had NO chance to save it, had I tried to get around her and get back on the road I would have hit a tree and/or a house. So I slid down the side road, off through a yard, almost hit a set of stone steps, the right front tire (at least I think it was just the tire) hit two rocks and some bricks that were laying in the yard. Missed a shrub and two trees. Had to get pulled out of the yard though, ground was too soft to get the car forward and directional snow tires aren't all that great for backing out of mud. But got it out, just needed some help. I drove the car to my grandparents then brought it back up here tonight. Seems fine so far, knocked the alignment out and the thump in my suspension got louder. Will look at it more later. Took it and got all the mud washed off of it.
Goddamn old people. Oh yeah, and she drove off too. Someone who saw what happened chased her down to Wal-Mart and brought her back. I wanted to beat the living **** out of her. She got an attitude about it too cause "Nobody hit MY car, why should I stop?" Cops might be giving her a ticket. Nothing was issued at the scene, but he was giving her a good lecture at one point. So I have her insurance, I think when the car goes back in for more warranty work on Monday I'll have the body shop look it over and give me an estimate anyway just in case something's wrong that I don't see.

She should, at very least, be cited for failure to stop and leaving the scene. I know exactly where you're talking about; I almost wiped out a car with my truck there once. Same thing- the idiot pulled right in front of me and I missed him by about 2 inches...
I still say they should have to take a test at age 60 and every year thereafter. If you don't pass, you don't drive anymore. Simple as that.
Glad to hear you're OK and no major damage. Keep us posted... I want to know what, if anything, happens to this Q-tip...

Glad nothing major happened to your car or you. But yah F old ppl and their inability to drive.
Wow.....
Alicia... good thing that everyone was ok, and that the car suffered no MAJOR issues. I never heard that suspension thing, so I'm saying it was a result of the incident.
nudge nudge, wink wink..
As a few side notes for my own stuff....
1) I got a line on brand new HOOSIER A3S05's in 18" sizes for $120 each straight from hoosier. NO SHIPPING Charges either.
Looks like I'm ordering them today.
EDIT: Ohhhhh yeah.... I had gotten a post on RacePA about R-comps, and I was shown a link to hoosier's site, and their "discontinued" tires on sale.
A3S05 - 225/40ZR 18 for $120 each. No shipping. Out the door and shipped to the office for $480.
They have Drag Slicks, radials, R-comps for road course, etc.... alot of different styles and sizes.
Now I gotta get me some 17"s to run as everday rollers.
2) Heading to Detriot next weekend for the Autoshow. Me, SRT Ed and Laura ( his wife ) are going. Not even going to have to drive once I get there. Hotel is connected by a tram ( subway above ground ).
