the D40 has to have AF-S lenses. The lens has to focus. So I have a limited amount of lenses I can chose from.
And yeah all the stuff titaniumss said
3 AF Points = FTMFL!!! hahaha
i would also like to say that
30D + 24-70 f/2.8L >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> D40 + 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6
And yeah all the stuff titaniumss said

I love my 24-70L on my 50D Of course from the pictures I've seen, I can't justify spending all that money on the 17-55 that POTN so highly regards. Especially it not even being L glass. I plan on going FF though, so my lenses are ready for the move.

24-70 is a sweet focal length it gives me the ability to be really pretty close or not so close.
24-70 is my typical focal length im at with the 18-135 that I have now.

youre wrong.. it is L glass... lol it is just a EFS mount... honestly dont buy something that you plan on getting.. get something for what you HAVE... the 24-70 will be too long on a crop IMO...

It has worked perfect on mine and has gotten the best pictures also. And it doesn't get the same treatment as L lenses it's good if you want the same range as the kit lens with just slightly better glass and 2.8, but I will be going FF in the next year.

Soon you guys are going to have cameras worth more then your cars with the way u people are thinking. Unless photography is your career, you don't need a camera like that.

Here is the portrait picture I took of the Parliament building this weekend. I think as some have said that the portrait version allowed for the building to be a bit more in focus. Let me know what you all think!

sick06 - the fist two are great!! the third one is awesome too i just don't like the fingers that you can just barely see at the bottom of the photo.
SKCobalt - Very nice picture. I wish the trees weren't so cluttered covering the bottom portion of the building. But hey what are you gonna do right? haha

todays shot: not really for c&c jsut playin aroudn with that fish eye adapter, understanding it has to use a large aperture to get everything in focus so ignore the edges. lol
