myfakeevo - It's out of focus. Up the iso or grab a tripod!

SKCobalt - 1st is underexposed, and the 2nd is properly exposed but could use more focus on the subject. I'm guessing your focal point was the building? If so, maybe a vertical shot to frame the building between the trees next time.
Oh sure just ignore my picture geeez lol

lol nice! I need to start building more gear. If you know anyone that wants a Canon 580EX II, 430EX, and ST-e2 for $775 shipped, let me know. I have the warranty cards still, just never filled them out. They're only like 3 months old at most. Haven't used them much, just looking to get an Elinchrom setup now.

lol please look in your manual and read. You have good intentions but you NEED to learn what shutter speed, iso, aperture, white balance, exposure, metering, and the rule of thirds.

That applies to all beginner photogs also.

Thanks for the info titanium... the first one I edited it to be a bit darker to shift the focus to the flags so I was trying to make it look a bit darker... a bit too much I suppose. The second one I have pics of it in a portrait format so I will try to post those tomorrow to see what everyone thinks.

Thanks again for the input.

I got tired of counting lol to sum it up......we've spent too much already and will just spend more lol

Also cruisn, don't trow out the 1.4. I have the 1.4 and it is a better built lens with slightly better specs. A nice medium between the 1.8 and 1.2L.
