one of the fronts didnt line up right and he said he had to drill another hole in the strut tower to get one of the 3 bolts to line up

No. I think I'd seriously hold off on buying those from your buddy. That's a pretty huge red flag.

 

yea wtf? drilling a new hole, if it doesnt line up it doesnt line up. dont make it fit

Got mine for $1200 with an extra, ported m62

 

get the exedy stage 2 clutch. one of the best clutches hands down for our cars. would get the adjustable clutch rod too so its not so stiff.

 

I had megan racing full coilovers and they were pretty decent. I didnt have any issues making them fit, they were perfect out of the box. Maybe your buddy overlooked something, or maybe he got a bad set. Either way if hes having issues like that with them Id look somewhere else.

 

Installing wheel spacers today + extended lugs, hoping my shitty ride doesnt let it rub on the fender :x

 

I have the KY Stage 3 clutch. Drives like stock. I love it. Stay away from SPEC.

There are no base models in the running this month. All entrees including yourself are SS models. A base model is an LS 2.2L. An SS in any form (2.4 NA, 2.0 SC, 2.0 TC) is not a base model.

His engine looks like a 2.4 to me and he has 5 lug wheels looked like an ss to me

 

2.4's and 2.2's can be mistaken for one another quite easily


and just because its 5 lug doesnt mean anything, they made 4 and 5 lug base models... leave it to GM on that one
