Advice on torn TCAB sperical
Advice on torn TCAB sperical
So like the title states I Ripped the rubber on spherical control mount bushing on install. K basically just got my new stock control arms with ottp sperical bushingd already pressed in. The drivers side went in easy but the passenger side put up a hell of a fight. I basically managed to cut a perfect ring off the top of the bushing. My question is how long will it last in this condition. & is there any thing i could do besides press out & press new one in. T.I.A.
Alright then. That's pretty much what i came up with. Gonna try & fnd a press & try to buy a single spherical TCAB. Daaaamn. I think it should last a few months though which should give me time to source a press & parts. Thank you

Worst case scenario if you cant purchase one right now is to drive the car like that. Just try not pushing it on turns and stuff like that and when you are able to go and change it
You should be able to just pull your LCA out and replace the seal. No need to buy a whole new LCAB.
That wouldn't really be the issue; you'll be fine to push it as hard as you want. The problem is dust and contaminants getting in and either gumming up the grease or destroying the bearing surfaces. Rain and dirt can destroy them.
A lot of other applications run un-sealed CAB's... so it's not THAT big of a deal. But if you're daily driving it, you'll want to seal it.

True just like a cv axle dont want to get that grease contaminated. Idk what I was thinking. Mostly the harm would be more noises and clunking and maybe more prone to torque steer
