Bad night
I bent mine a couple months ago; I hit a curb at about 55mph and only bent it, must of been one hell of a hole.
$30 fix. I got a used one from Fusion who overnighted the hub. If you've done suspension work before it should only take you an hour or two. Nothing was hard at all. Had to use some WD-40 to loosen some bolts and the 31mm hub bolt won't be fun if you don't have an impact. If you run into any problems hit me up. That is if you do it on your own.
Sorry that happened.

Pit style, like where you drive your car over a pit so you can work on it. Thus you can have zero ground clearance and no problems.
A lift/hoist needs the car to be a couple inches off the ground in order for the arms to get under. Then like ours, we have side skirts that can be damaged.
Most places that do alignments have a pit for lowered cars. Firestone had to replace both my side skirts when they tried to do my first alignment on my lowered Cavalier.
