Failed Spring Install

Okay guys, whats the size of the bolt holding the lower part of the rear strut on? I went to install my springs today and i couldn't get that bolt off so I blew the day. Also how many lbs of torque of a drill will I need to get it off, and put it back on?

There are no rear struts. There are only shock absorbers on the rear axle, and they are the only part you need remove. Actually you only have to remove one side, not the whole thing.

I don't know off the top of my head the bolt size, but I do remember it wasn't anything weird. I think 19MM, same as the wheel lugs. It should screw right out.

Heres a how to;

He removed the top bolt from the shock, I would remove the bottom one, but same thing. Don't cut the stops unless instructed to.

I removed the top. Worked fine for me. I also didn't cut my bumpstomps.

Unless the instructions with the springs tell you to cut them, don't.

yeah it was an 18 or 19 mm (more towards 18 I think) just spray it with some lubricant and it should come right off... just take the bottom ones off, pretty easy
