buy the h&r SS/SC springs. They level the car. its a .2 at the end of the spring number if you look at the numbers on the springs, or when ordering online.

The SS/na and NA model cobalts sit raked, I don't know why but they do.

I had the same issue as you when I bought my first set of h&rs.

Goodluck

Manufacturer: H&R
Part Number: 50735-2
Notes: Sport Spring
Front Lowering: 1.5"
Rear Lowering: 1.4"

So your saying that these springs leveled your car out ? from the imformation i found its the same effect. I know sometimes information on some sites are a little misleading jsut trying to make sure i dont by the wrong thing

I have an 09 base model like yours. When I bought my first set of H&Rs it sat raked as hell like you're describing. Then I ordered the ones Metallic mentioned and the back dropped a lot. Still have to do the fronts.

The measurements online are misleading because they are based off of the stock heights of SS and base cars, which differ in stock form.

Trust me when I say the 50735-2 numbered springs will bring the ass end down.

First set of H&RS

Rears from the second set installed. Still have to put in the fronts.

your going to want koni struts with those h&rs. Worth every penny. I blew my rear struts out on the h&rs.

The way I look at it

Can you do it on stock struts? sure.

Can you walk on your knees. Yea.

How long?

good tip I cant remember what the name of the struts that are on there but the front is bad i get bad wheel hop when i break traction. and the front will bottom out really easy. like i said this is my first lowered car I know its only a cobalt but it should still have a decent ride to it. I hav not had the back bottom out yet. The car was like this when i bought it a month ago I jsut want to get it to where it has a decent look to it and rides as best as it can for a lowered vehicle.
