I don't know if I got a bad set or what, but I bought a set of these last year after reading this thread and they had quite a bouncy ride and I could pull the springs out in the rear without even unbolting the shocks. I wasn't too happy with how high the rear sat either, it didn't really make a noticeable difference, the front was a nice height though. I just replaced them with Stance coilovers recently and they're definitely stiffer but I personally feel like they ride better. Just my 2 cents.

There is absolute zero bounce in my set. If you were able to take the rear springs out w/o unbolting the shocks I feel there was some "installer error" there. You also mention the rears sat high which also leads me back to installer error (aka not seating the springs correctly). My rear gap is around a two finger gap. I've had these installed on my car for about 1.5 years now, and they are just as good as the day I installed them. Ride is just like SS/TC springs with a little extra stiffness. I'm very particular with what I install on my car, and if these springs weren't top notch, they would have been removed a long time ago.

Did u purchase yours directly through roadmagnet or ottp?

Thank you for posting your experience though, not all experiences with certain parts will be perfect.

Particular about what you install on your car- now that's putting it mildly. If you like them they have to be good.

I took them out and put them back in a couple times just to make sure they were in correctly, the first time I had the fronts upside-down. It didn't really change anything though. I purchased them through Road Magnet before they started making them for OTTP. I also forgot to mention that the front springs were definitely a smaller diameter than the ones I took off, I don't know what was up with that. I even tried emailing them a couple times earlier this year but I never got a response back. Anyways, I'm happy with my current setup and as long as you're happy with how the springs perform, that's all that really matters.

Not trying to be a dick, but you didnt swap the back springs with the fronts right? The only way the rears would fall out would be if you put the fronts back there

No I didn't put them in the wrong place haha, it's pretty easy to tell the front from the rear. The springs never fell out, I could just pull them out without unbolting the shocks.

Did you install the spring seat adapter that came with the springs for the rear perch?

I didn't use the adapters... Do they just slide over the jounce assembly or?

Edit - Man, I'm feeling like a total newb here but correct me if I'm wrong - Would the addition of the adapter cause the rear to sit higher? Or does the adapter just act as a stabilizer to limit side to side movement?

I didn't get those, all I received from them were the 4 springs. Those would definitely solve that issue, but I still didn't like how the front springs sat in the strut.

Those are critical.... w/o them the spring will just bounce around and can eventually fall out. That is why you were able to remove the spring w/o unbolting the shocks.

The front springs sit just like factory in the perch... I do not understand why you had issues.

The adapter is critical for holding the spring in. Roadmagnet springs do not taper in at the top like the factory springs... They do this to maintain a consistent spring rate. The adapter does not affect ride height...

Yes... they slide over the jounce assembly.

Anymore updates on how people are liking Road Magnet/OTTP lowering springs? I'm looking for a new set of lowering springs. My B&G's are just too low and ride so harsh for my taste. Was debating between the OTTP springs and CM springs. I could care less how the car handles I'm just looking for a good comfortable ride.

CM springs have super soft spring rates thus cause a poor ride over rough driving surfaces. If anyone tells you they ride good, they never rode on quality lowering springs with proper spring rates.

I had CM springs before Road Magnet, and there is no comparison between the two. Road Magnet offer great ride and handling.

Thanks for the input Staged! So do you think that the OTTP springs(Road Magnet) would be a good option for what I'm looking for? I know it's a Cobalt SS and that's it not going to ride like a Caddy. But I do a lot of city driving and I'm just looking for a good comfortable spring that doesn't make my car feel like it's going to break everytime I go over a bump.

Yes. They will be fine for daily driving.

Good to hear! Thank you! What's your opinion on YYZ springs?

Well since I never tried them, I can't really say. Almost everyone who has them likes them though. I'd say either YYZ or Roadmagnet are the best options for springs currently.

Understandable. Again, thank you for your help! I'll see if I can do a little more digging. Just looking for a good daily driver set up.

For anyone looking to purchase spring silencers for your Roadmagnet springs, here are the correct sizes to get.

Brand: Tein

Front: 130mm (QTY = 2 per spring)
Rear: 90-130mm (QTY = 3 per spring)
