Trying to choose between drop springs for my 09 ss
Looking at eibach, progress, b&g and h&r
Want the lowest ride height but still decent ride quality
I know coilovers are the way to go but I can't afford a set, had springs on my 2001 Jetta and they were horrible and switched to coilovers but they're alot cheaper for the dub.. I've heard the drop springs for the cobalts ride pretty decent.. Any input would awesome, thanks

I've had sportlines for about 1.5 years. I really like the drop, not excessive, but tasteful. I feel that the handling is slightly better than my stock 2007 springs, but the car does "slam" on big hard bumps...
I picked up the SSC from ZZP. I'm lower than most TC / SC's locally and I'm just SS/NA. I have a 2 finger gap all the way around (2 fingers top of tire to bottom of fender) Ride quality is not bad. A little bumpy on the less than maintained road and you have to worry about rubbing on bad drive-ways.
i think overall the ssc springs are the best way to go for ride and handling...its slightly a downgrade but its very close to stock rates for the lnf... on the other hand it lowers you more then pedders although pedders handle better.
everythings a downgrade.....except pedders and the eibach prokit...the pro kit doesnt give you dick worth a drop though and atleast with pedders you get some....
for what he wants i think he would be happy with ssc.... close to stock handling and drops more...h&r has the best drop if you ask me BUT the ride like i said is meh and when i had runflats holy hell it sucked.

No matter what you choose, lowering helps stability at the high end (120+) because the spring has less lateral movement with body slide (and momentum)
Upgrading different things will help with the "loose" feeling the car has with high speeds or hard braking. You won't really notice a difference until you auto-x.
