Wow thanks for the all the great info. I like how you can run the Airraid without a tune too. Do you think it's safe or should I just wait till I get a tune? I read somehwere that with the intake and no tune during a wot pull the car goes lean and that's where the somewhere around 10whp/8wtq is made, not sure if that is right. Sorry for the questions, I just want to do it all right the first time on this car not like I did on the ss/tc.

Bringing this back from the dead. I have a BBK 90mm throttle body, a GT500 axleback and a Boss 302 intake mani on the car now and just did my first log with them on the car with the same tune as before except raised rev limiter to 7800 from 7300. Stock the car used to flow 41 lbs/min corrected at 63* IATs, Tuned on the stock intake Mani and Airaid intake I saw 43.5-44 lbs/min corrected at 59* IATs. Now with the Boss 302 intake mani I am seeing a max of 49.5-50 lbs/min corrected at 64* IATs. IMHO 50lbs/min with basically stock exhaust down to the cats and crushes and random reductions is pretty good. I feel no midrange torque loss at all!!!! In fact even with my 3.31 gears and 27" tall tires it murders the tires all the way through 1st and 2nd and a little in 3rd as I shift.
49.3 x 1.016 to correct for the +1.6 STFT = 50 lbs/min at 7600 RPMs!!! Not bad for a NA 5.0 with basically stock exhaust.

from last night -vs- automatic '11 GT: BAMA 93 tune, C&L intake, highflow cats w/ muffler deletes(stock manifolds) 3.73 gear car... female passengers in both(too cold for them to stand and watch, lmao)
I think I won by half a car, he thinks we tied... either way, hell of a run
i've got 2 spare 9.5" Camaro wheels and have ET streets and 1LE 3.90 gears coming... so the Mustangs wont have the gearing gap on me much longer, lmao
everyone is saying he doesnt have headers, but I have 3.23s(L99 car).. so i'll gladly give him headers for gears, lol
that is one thing I love about the 1LE, cross referencing parts... $220 for 3.91 gears? hell yeah beats $575 for Lingenfelter, lol

Nice runs with the mustang.. One problem tho, he has a bama tune which is why his car isn't performing to what it should (nothing against your car) but his car should be a mid-high 11 sec car with the right tune and tires, those bama tunes, from what I understand, are basically a uploaded tune, no data logging or anything, could be wrong, but like I said from what I've heard and read, they're no good

Like I said I could be wrong.. I've always heard stay away from bama tunes, performance wise, they do stand behind their work tho, if their tune blows your motor they'll pay for it

I have to do this to my car now. The clutch got stuck on the floor 3 times yesterday above 7000 RPMs when I went to shift which makes it impossible to shift to the next gear until you pump the clutch a couple times and it comes unstuck. It was really pissing me off and was making me look like a non-driver
Not sure if you have had this issue Derek but even if you have not I think it is just a good mod to do so you do not destroy your tranny or clutch. Oh and if you have the money do not hesitate to buy the Boss 302 intake mani you will not regret it and you will not feel any losses at all just a huge pull up top.

I thought about doing that but I believe the previous owner did it.. I haven't had that issue at all even after running the **** out of it at the track all day, I drove my buddies 5.0 and noticed his doing that multiple times, was messing with him bad at the track, my clutch also feels 10xs stiffer than his does

I just removed my clutch helper spring. It was super easy to do except I really needed a flashlight to see what I was doing better. Took about 5 minutes total to do. Clutch is definitely heavier now. I will drive it after work to see if it has stopped sticking.

Thanks term for some more great info haha it's nice having the same car as you. I ended up going with a magnaflow comp catback and it's not too loud at all, well until you gun it haha. I found it for a good price on summit and my gf got it for me for Christmas so I can't complain. I think I'm gonna go with the Airraid and some bmr lca's with relocating brackets next. Do you get any wheel hop at all in 1st? I do and it's really annoying but it could be because of the summer tires that come on the brembo package and the weather being so cold. Anyways I got the CDC grille and now know what you mean about the power added from the fog light being in the way of the intake duct. Have you been able to take your's to the track yet? I haven't felt the clutch issue your talking about but I was having problems getting into third so I went ahead and got the Barton bracket.

Nice time man that's awesome . With only the catback I put down a 13.6 at 106 at 3800 ft above sea level. It was 42 degrees outside so I wasn't even able to launch, I had to take off like I would normally then mash it and I got a 2.3 60 ft haha. On that run I also missed third. I'm hoping for 13.1-13.2 next time it should be a little warmer and Ill be used to the car a little more.

So I'm driving down blanding and I pull up on a white newer camaro ss, white with black wheels, I could tell he had atleast exhaust, we kinda jump back n forth at each other, then we get stopped at a light, he rolls down his window, he's got his girl with him, he goes (with the vin deisel look over) 'sup' haha I ask him what's done to it, intake, longtubes, exhaust, tune.. Basically full bolt ons in my book, I asked if he's heading to the highway, he says no, why? I said I was seeing if you wanted to run em, he said lets do it, rolls up the window, we go on our way, get going at 60, three honks and I start pulling, going into 5th, at about 120-130 I was two cars out still pulling and we shut down, did about three runs, same thing every time. Seemed like an alright dude, his license plate said 25WAG haha, gave him a thumbs up and went on my way.. Been hunting one of these ******* for awhile, his looked pretty good tho..
Oh I drive a 2012 mustang 5.0 brembo package
AR 1 7/8 longtubes
O/R Catless xpipe
3" bullet exhaust
JLT CAI
AED tuned
3.73 gears

Go to Brandon Ford. They usually have 15 5.0s or more to choose from and in every color. I got mine for 5K under sticker.
