Bro... most honda drivers are like this. I know someone who thinks his ef sedan with a SINGLE CAM VTEC can run 14's and keep up with me. his car is actually 18-21 seconds.......

Wow this site loves to get off topic. OK here it goes. I pull trains on a stock Si with a good driver (super rare I know) from a 40 roll (because I suck at driving and can't launch without spinning the wheels off to save my life). If you want to compare my car to a cobalt just pretend I'm a stage 2 ss/sc with an intake and 300 pounds of weight reduction.

^^^even with a better driver on the SI, at top end the ss s/c shall catch up and win....thats only if they do a 20 roll, which i did once and he manage to pull on me but by the end of second i was already passing him lol

From a 40 roll, I can start in my car in 3rd rather than 2nd against an Si and still win after he pulls a fender. But again I'm comparable to a stage 2 with 300 pounds of weight reduction. Didn't realized how much faster that made me than a stock ss.

All things equal, you should pull him by a car or maybe two from a dig and probably about the same from a roll. Those SI are light and fairly fast. If he just got it 3 weeks ago, especially if it is a stick, I doubt he has learned to "feel" the car yet so you should be able to easily pull him.

OP's SS is an 05. So it is the LSJ.

If OP is stock, he'll have to make sure not to have a bad launch, but he should be good.

If stage 2, then well... that Civic better like seeing tail unless he's modded.
