Ran over a brick need help.
Hrm. What insurance do you have? I had one at-fault accident (had to choose....get hit head on by a school bus full of kids or hit the SUV next to me). COmmon sense told me the SUV was the more surviveable accident. Total damage to his car was like $1400 and my rates didn't jump a single penny. Agent said they'd only go up if the damage from the accident was $2000 or greater. I've got State Farm.
I have all state and they never want to fix anything, mom is calling them today to see what exactly will happen and how it is done in the end I will probably still end up paying for it myself unless the rates do not go up. I willl have to get her to check in to that to see if that will be the same for us.
Guys.. hes on his parents insurance... something I can relate to not to long ago as well. So ... there pretty much is no claiming it.
My parents wouldn't let me claim something lil like that. Like I had windshields get cracked on me... and junked a BMW rim
(Talk about $$$$>. ******* Z4 rim was like 1500-2000$ for Stocker!) 1 rim!~

no 16 pounds for all 4 I already know weight decreases performance but at the same time 4lbs a wheel is not going to hurt it that bad. I know about the whole weight thing from my supercharged truck. I had 2 sets of wheels and tires 1 was centerline 20's for the street in toyo proxes tires and the other was american racing 17's with et street slicks they were 10lbs lighter a wheel and only gained .10sec in the 1/4 so I don't think 4lbs a wheel will make a huge diff and I probably wont even notice it. I will reclaim that lost power when i get my hahn tuner and exhaust.
I guess I will save the wheels for another day. I just found a wheel repair shop in houston that will come to my house and fix it if he can repair it in the truck it will be $100 if not he will send it to be refinished and it will be $145 and he guarntees it to be within all factory specs. So I will probably do this and buy 1 tire so I just cut my cost down to about 360 with mounting and balancing. But later down the line when I actually have time to look I will replace them with some i actually like and are a known good quality.
Do you not have any shops where you live that fix aluminum wheels? Around here, I could get a bend like that fixed for around $100-$130......a far cry from the $540 you were quoted.
