Blowing small amounts of oil into exhaust again.

Edit: I may have spoken too soon.. went out and tested some more and it seemed more like a compression issue so I tested. Cyl 1 compression is a little over 100 while the rest are 120 GREAT
Plugs still look good and no misfires. Been watching KR like a hawk. I still haven't seen any at all like ever. Guess I'm getting greedy with the boost. Probably just a small fracture in one of the ringlands. ZFR will have to wait now. Pistons and rods for LDK now. May as well get the head done too.

Hope Matt isn't behind like he was when I ordered one. He had some things go on and it took 4 months to get it. Just don't boost and stay from 27-30 on it and you will be ok.

To me there isn't anything like putting forged Pistons in these cars. Anything with boost and a ecu that can be cracked, should have forged Pistons from the factory. Cast just can't take the heat like forged ones will.

I'm hoping he isn't THAT far behind. But, my k04 is working fine and I didn't wait until my turbo went so I'm scrambling. I just knew eventually it'd need a rebuild or upgrade and the timing & price and info was right.

stay away from 27-30...? boo. Figured it'd be ok with that much boost

There is an e85 station about 20 minutes from my house I might try to have some fun with once I get better at Hp Tuners.

emissions is why they come with hyperuetic.

It's not the boost that's the issue, its the high EGTs from running the turbo that hard.

True, at a certain point it'll just be blowing hot air. hotter air in, less oxygen, more chance for detonation, higher egt's... all that jazz. Now I'm trying to talk myself out of getting meth on cyber Monday.

That was gonna be my next purchase but..... That will have to wait until after built block and head. Easy 400whp until the k04r blows oil again(likely soon ) . She's getting the best. Carrillo "A" design rods with wisecos. Head will likely flow more than turbo can throw at it. In due time my friend

And fwiw guys, if you plan on running around 28 psi or more all the time, open up the rings a bit. Especially with LDK pistons .
