That is some serious work and expense. Hope it's trouble free for a long time. Curious to see some results. Nicely done.

well I'm having some high rpm backfire in 3rd gear right now. possibly my maf. had my maf crap out on me a week ago, now I have in a spare that I obviously took out for a reason, just don't know why. waiting for new one to come. other than that this thing is a crazy ass beast. it takes absolutely no effort to get to 160mph unlike before where u needed a few miles. I actually did it by accident the other day, did a run and when I looked down I was at 160 lol. I was like oh **** I better slow down cause the road wasn't exactly smooth.

i put in new plugs, and changed my coils, so its neither of those things. wish zzp would get their ass in gear with their coil packs. I'm about to just tell them to give me my money back. its been close to a year of waiting on them now

so frick. my car starts to backfire like popcorn/machine gun at 5600rpm and up. mostly in 3rd gear. and seeing knock in cylinder 2 when it happens. did leak down. I got 1 percent loss in 1,3,4 and 4 percent in 2 at 90 psi. so I'm gonna replace the seals......on brand new injectors. or just get new injectors because I'm insane and zzp owes me money . for the love of God please let this fix it so I can get this damn tune and car finished already.......vent over.

Is it possible its tune related and not the injectors? The engine isnt broke in yet right? I would take any leak down results with a grain of salt this soon. By the way, LOVE this thread. Great build

I hope the seals fix the issue. You deserve some good times with the car.

ya me too. gonna change map sensors as well just in case, also coil packs. mine are 10 years old. i pulled the injectors and no sign of anything blowing past seals, but cylinder 2 had more carbon buildup than the rest on the tip. did find carbon on combustion chamber side of seals. but thats probably normal. ill check my exhaust manifold nut torque as well. never know. also gonna put smaller meth nozzle. 10 is a little too much i think. if i start to early it chokes the engine. also i have noticed an issue with these tb spacers i don't think the makers think about. the orings get eaten away by the methanol. so I'm gonna coat them in e6000 and seal with that basically.

Well I wasted a bunch of cash on parts that didnt do ****. So I gapped my plugs to .024 , fixed that **** right up. It works but I probably have some power issue to the coils I'll have to look for and address. But it has a bandaid for now .

.024 wow that's tiny. Wonder if that will effect how strong the spark is/getting complete combustion.

Its inefficient so probably not burning all the fuel. I'm gonna hunt this gremlin down. Gonna put gap back on cylinders 1 and 4 and see if its good. If it is then I out 3 back. Cause in sure its 2 thats the issue . once I find which one or ones I'll pull the harness apart and see if I got damage anywhere. Or I guess test it first. Or maybe just say eff it and buy a new harness lol which I should have done when I did engine. I had clutch fluid run on it and destroy the wire loom so who knows maybe it messed up some wires

Could it just be your coils?

nooe they new. I believe I found the issue . seems like its the meth. I put in smaller nozzle, spraying 800cc , had to gap to .025 for it to work and it did Work. Now I went back to 1000 cc and it started doing it again. Why does my car suddenly hate the meth? Is it the ported intake manifold? I dont get it. Had no problems with even 900cc at .032 gap on stock engine
