2.0L LNF Performance Tech 260hp and 260 lb-ft of torque Turbocharged tuner version.

I'm thinking I should start a build thread. Guess this is it.

I'm thinking not. Wpc would be a anti friction finish they add from my understanding and this is something like on how it's made where they tumble the gears in a media so it makes the parts nice and pretty. This is my understanding anyway. May be wrong

Wpc is just a really fine shot-peening. It's not a coating or anything added

And it basically roughs up the surface on a very small scale to help hold oil better. There is some surface hardening that occurs to help.

I've seen wpc coated parts be slick as crap, they look rough but they are slick I believe.

That's what makes them slick, surface chemistry gets a little crazy and goes against what one would think

Could this be done for a bike gear set and chain? I mean bicycle not motorcycle.
For the gear, yes. The chain could be done for asthenic purposes because only the exposed metal would be polished.

That is the fault of poor quality control of the exedy discs used in zzp SB clutches. Does it even on new stock f35 input. The tolerance on those Quaife parts are within spec i assure you.

That is a thing of beauty! I would love to have a Quaife 6 speed one day, if they are still around. I just discovered yesterday I'm going to need to do rocker panel repair and it's just really hard for me to justify a trans that would cost more then what my car is worth. But the peace of mind for the strength is very tempting. And having a usable 1st gear as well as the improved overdrive due to not having to use 4.45 gears would be a dream. Uses less power then the F40 too. Great, I'm talking myself into it again even now. Do you or Jason know of anyone else using this gearset now? I've seen them forever but havent heard of anyone else that used one.

I believe Jason will and Mr Powell also. There were only a few kits left last time I looked. May not be any at this point.

Yea the kits are officially gone/spoken for. I have a pile if them here in my shop. There were 9 kits left when i built my first one for Powell in August. There were 30 kits manufactured back in 2005. To put that in perspective, it took 12 years to sell the 21 of those kits. Took me 6-7 months to influence the sale of 9 kits. These kits are were so under rated. Quaife didnt just throw an extra gear in there and call it good. They redesigned the whole gear set in a way to prevent premature wear, promote better oil distribution and oil retention in places that desperately needed it. 2nd gear has more support on the output because it floats on a sleeved needle bearing now rather than a bushing that wears out. And then the end cap has a gigantic cylindrical roller bearing on the output side as well as another roller bearing on the input side to keep the shafts together up top. Then the cap is dowel fastened to the case which takes a ridiculous amount of precision to reproduce within tolerance for each kit to make the cap an effective structural peice of the case in respect to shaft location retention. Hats off to Quaife for this brialliant redesign. As far as the future of aftermarket gear kits, well,

Hats off to you guys who ponied up the capitol for one. I never could justify the cost, but I'm sure it's a nice setup.

so I'm doing a buttload of research on clutches, looks like they all got their issues here and there, some have bad experiences, some good. YES Jason even the ACT ones lol so in the next few days I guess ill be getting something. until then, besides the trans, the other junk iv been doing to the car is as follows. will post pics later.

Replaced defi gauges and glowshift gauges with autometer pro spek gauges. I had some busted ones so I redid them all.

got the updated zzp manifold. its lighter by a decent amount, has proper area for nuts to sit, also made so u can get at all nuts except one with a socket. which is real nice. I guess with turbo on it will be a little harder but whatever.

got stage 8 bolts for turbo. no more backing off.

new control arms with powell bushings instead of ottp. had ripped balljoint boots.

bought some new headlights and all the stuff to make retrofits, will be doing that after I got the car back together.

all new wheel bearings all around.

idk what else, ill put if I remember later.

oh ya, a new downpipe with recirculated dump......open dump was annoying and too loud
