Yes, actually. Ive found that i can start cranking out 1 build every two weeks by hiring someone else to build them. The builder would have to work for pennies because of their lack of experience and knowledge with this specialist oriented type transmission build. No biggie, they will "almost" get the hang of it after a dozen half-ass-built customer trans issues.

Also the amount of time and money it takes to source high-quality/low wear parts (20% wear or less) won't be practical anymore. Our new 50-75% part wear policy is still better than 90% worn parts and broken parts 👍 GUARANTEED!!

I will FINALLY be able to do something with my gigantic mountain of excessively worn parts! Oh, and warranty program will be terminated. Hasta la vista baby 😎. Nobody cares about warranty or quality workmanship anyway. Its 2018, Instant gratification with no regard to its consequential events that immediately follow, is the new standard. Transmissions for everybody!!!

63Nova - LMK when you would you like to send yours trans in. Ready whenever you are!!

Yeah I'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about that.... I know you wouldn't go that route as you have too much integrity. Was just thinking you were trying to work out a solution.

How do you polish those gears if you don't mind me asking? Also, how much does this whole process cost say sourcing good gears and everything?

Haha, yes, you know me all too well! I was jokingly pointing out how much time and money is sacrificed to provide the absolute best product possible. Quality and integrity are essential to continue providing fellow delta owners solutions they can count on for years to come. Lead time solution is being planned for but that wont happen until mid summer.

Isotropic finishing. It is a metal finishing process that is a commonly used by almost all of the big name gear/gearbox manufacturers around the world. The advantages include lower friction coefficient which also means less heat concentrations. Also releives Stress concentrations on the surface of the gears, which technically produces a stronger gear.

The process is a trade secret. There is ZERO technical info anywhere on the exact processes amd compounds used. I even reached out to some companies that already offer it and ask them for some beginners advice. All of them gave me very vague answers and wouldnt share their exact process which i kind of expected.

The equipment, media, and compounds cost me nearly 2500$. A very large portion of that was wasted because of its experimental nature at the time. I learned a lot and gained some very valuable trade secret knowledge with the old school method of trial and error. Now i will be expanding that process into a much larger and efficient operation that will likely cost me another 3-5k to setup.

Isotropic finishing videos make it look easy. I'm sure it's not.

Could this be done for a bike gear set and chain? I mean bicycle not motorcycle.
