I'm thinking I should start a build thread. Guess this is it.

That's strange tom because the nhra amended the roll cage requirements on 2008 and newer cars to not requiring anything to 10.0 because of how safe the cars were. Must not be a nhra track.

You're right. It's an IHRA track. InterlakeDragway.org

It's kind of a **** hole. Anyone running really quick cars go down to Brainerd, ND.

so just an fyi for you guys running devils own meth systems, don't buy their braided stainless lines, they use steel ends on them, and I looked at mine today, the ends are all rusted inside. you would think a company that specializes in methanol would realize that it is extremely corrosive to steel. kinda pisses me off seeing as I cant have that and now I'm gonna have to scrap a 120$ worth of lines and make my own and redo this crap. fraak!!!!

They should make sure they hold up even if the kit costs just a little more. That's just dumb.

Sounds like one of their suppliers fucked up or decided to change things to save money. Contact them about the issue if you bought it from them or one of their authorized dealers.

And their reply, fluid should be drained if car is sitting for a few days. What? Even if I drain it, unless U wash the lines out it will still rust. Whatever I'll make my own

Unreal eh? I had some steel ends for my flow gauge , which I didn't realize and even in use the rusted to **** inside. Well just another minor issue to fix. Guess I'll be ripping that out when the trans comes out.

Lol. Brilliant. Drain it and introduce a bunch of oxygen to what moisture is left so it'll rust 10x faster. Sounds like they don't even understand chemistry.

Seems like it, talked to a different company who does and uses brass ends for that reason. Kinda like dealing with them, they have good setups and awesome customer service. If all else fails I'll make my own lines. Not that hard.

my thoughts exactly they would be better off telling you to run 100% methanol with steel end lines. Seems like brass would be the economical way to go.

Ok I made it official today. I did tell you I'm getting a built trans from Jason (lnfwagonss) but I left this part out cause I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get it since only, I guess 6 or 7 exist now. I'm am getting Jason to build me a full quaife gearset 6 speed reinforced built trans. After long detailed convos I trust his confidence in this setup since he has tested the crap out of it. And the gears are life time warranty.

Yes he his very good about detail and letting you know pros and cons he seems to be a very trustworthy person imo if I had to do it again I would use him again and probably do what your doing with the 6 speed in f35 all in all its about same price. Are you doing a LSD? And what brand I ended up using the wavetrac I love the way it's working so far

I'm glad you understand the value of this build. You're gonna love it.

Awe shucks, making me blush over here
If you remember before we started your build, we discussed the quaife 6sp conversion option but you wanted 1/2 mile performance which the 07-08 f40s are ideal for.
Although if we used a 3.82 FD with the Quaife 6sp conversion, it could be a decent 1/2 mile trans but F40 would still have a higher top speed in 4th gear(which is the gear you want to be in at the 1/2 mile finish). But the 382 has never been tested with this gear set afaik. and also I would have to contact Quaife and make sure it wouldn't affect warranty as the kit was designed around the 405

Ya I'm just jealous that you 3 are spending the cash on this. I will always wish I did also. I'm curious on the gears being under warranty with so few made, how do they replace them? What shifter are you all using?
