Really? I guess you should tell that to all of the 1000+hp badasses down here participating in the 60-130 competitions at John Hennessey's track.

it's not recognized as a real form of racing. Get over it. roll racing is ******* gay.

last time I checked, we were in the 2.0 LNF Performance Tech section, and discussing what kind of abuse the drivetrain will take at the track on a '08 Cobalt SS would be Performance Tech oriented.

Drag racing, circuit racing, drifting... none of that was "recognized" at one point either.

two steps don't solve all of the lag. If the turbo is too laggy, it'll only let you build x amount of boost. X could be 2psi or 10psi or whatever.
I think somebody is jealous because they do not have a lnf. I wish you lived by me because i would have to show you up. If you drove one you would know how nice they are.

trust me, you wouldn't show me up. I've raced a couple lnf's locally, and it wasn't pretty.

You're trapping what, 104? Did you try switching cars to see the outcome?

because the 104 trap speed tells all..........

I'm not going to argue and prove myself. There is no point to it.

I'll tell you oversized slicks and a conservative tune, and I'll leave it at that.

I would like to race you from a dig on the street. The lsj is so hard to get traction on the street. I know because i own both and the lnf would smoke the lsj off the line and it will never catch up.

just to throw this out there, the guy I raced had the WORST time launching his LNF. I was DESTROYING him from a dig, I ended up waiting just slowly rolling beside him after I would launch for him to start accelerating and stop spinning. So, I think that what you just said is very opinionated. Just because you know how to launch your LNF very well, doesn't mean everyone will.

that just shows you were spinning real bad and need the driver mod. You won't trap that high when you get traction.

Kudo's to synapse for making more power out of the TC. It's great having a big aftermarket for the cobalt, especially seeing as how this kit will bolt right onto the LSJ as well.

On a side note, too laggy for me and not enough power for the money. I may be interested in the manifold one day though.

Does anyone actually know what the difference here? For a while, i thought the reason the LNF was making so much more power was because it was just simply direct injection, but that's not the case now. The reason it "tends" to make more power than a LSJ stock for stock and mildy modded is because the turbo flows more than the m62 and the DI motor can run at leaner A/F ratios, thus making more power. If you were to swap on everything that the LNF comes with, exept the intake manifold as you would need a custom one, lets say you got Hahns turbo intake manifold, then you would probably make very identical hp/tq. With tuning, both the LNF and LSJ with the same exact turbo setup, would probably be identical numbers.
Because it would end a hell of alot of arguing wouldnt it? :fight:
Funny...you post this but fail to mention the part I said on there where it also has the VVT
