the torque is the unkown... some LNFs will make as little as 310lbs, and as much as 340lbs based on platform and tranny.

please refrain from posting gigantic sedan pictures in a thread about an ecu upgrade, nice car though

WOW, where u getting those numbers? The TQ/HP specs are going to be about the same. You can expect 290hp/300tq to the flywheel, as this is what the stage 1 solstice in one of there shows was quoted at about a year and a half ago.

Realistically, you can expect 270ish whp and 280ish wtq from it. Maybe less. As we all know, GM has a tendency to overrate its stage kits :

Hmmm, impressive. The kit must have changed since. I know for a fact when I read up on the concept the TQ was no where near as high. The HP stayed the same for some reason though. Strange.

our biggest issue was the amount of torque steer that comes with the stage 1 upgrade. This was the primary reason they didnt release the CSRT4 with 300 HP like they were originally. They did this by SEVERELY limiting boost . Stage 1 gets 15+ lbs of boost, stock PCM sees about 8 lbs.....

so mopars solution:

lets make them pay for the way it was supposed to be stock!

Reason I don't like mopar too much. I just wonder how a CSRT-4 will feel with that much power considering the bad tq steer they already have.

I really hope it acts like it says it will in the solstice thread ie. it gets rid of the "learn down" feature in the stock ECU.

That way I can do charge piping, IC, and exhaust on GM's tune so if worse comes to worse I can get a little more power and still keep the warranty.

It would have helped if dodge had put a LSD in the C-SRT4 in the first place. LOL. Torque steer FTL!!!. That is one of the main reasons I did not even consider the C-SRT4.

So is the tune going to lock the computer kinda like the stg3 lsj computer was locked? I have read in this post/other post that it will be locked but no one has really gone in depth about it. I just hope we can tune for the censors or refine the gm tune.

The TQ steer is not bad at all actually. If u know how to drive a fast car, its easy to get over. Hell, at the track it handles like a dream. It goes straight with NO wheelhop, which is more than I could say for my SS/SC.

The problem is, Mopar has this false idea that SRT4 owners dont know how to drive their cars. They think everyone will drive them into ditches. this really isnt the case though.

if people are planning on tuning, why worry with the GM stage kit? I mean its seems you can make more hp without it on your basic tune... I'm sure the aftermarket will take care of these sensors, if not just buy the kit from a site, install it yourself and do your own tune, no need in paying GM to do something you are going to overwrite anyway... And your warranty is fucked anyway, so why worry about that?

Personally, I just plan on adding this kit, a downpipe, and calling it a day... Warranty intact

you HAVE to get the tune from GM if you want to use the sensors. GM reflashes your computer with new software designed for these sensors. It is my understanding that the sofware on ours cars now doesn't have the tables programmed in it for high 20's psi boost.

08inBama if u add a downpipe u will not have warrenty the downpipe voids all powertrain warrenty.. if u want to keep warrenty do not touch the cats or the stock 02 sensors do what ever else to your exhaust you want if you want warrenty. Thats why most ppl on here would rather the gm kit cause its full warrentied and wit made by the ppl who engineer our motors so we kno they kno what they are doing rather then getting a tune from some where and paying more then what the gm kit is worth. The gm kit will have an intake, calibration with learn down eliminated and higher boost with sensors which are MAF, MAP, Temp/pressure in the intercooler i think thats them. I see ppl getting tunes and not getting the gains from just the tune like the gm kit for the cobalts will be getting

no it doesn't, the downpipe voids your exhaust warranty... already checked into it with my dealership, they said its basically the same as a cat back... as LONG AS ITS CATTED

off road d down pipe=voided

catted down pipe=good to go

I have no intentions of getting a Offroad pipe, I'll wait for Hahns Catted
