I think this is an easy way for GM to make a little extra cash. With stage 1 LNF GM will get more attention from enthusiast shoppers.
Tom at Crate eng. said possible January on the Cobalt kit.

this will fit ANY LNF (except '09), the "Cobalt Kit" is just going to include an intake along with the hardware from this kit, so if you already have a custom intake or turbo swap, why pay more for a "Cobalt Kit"...all the hardware necessary to go beyond the 255 kPa/2.5 bar limit is within this kit

dude stop trolling this thread no one cares ...if the engineering for the kit was funded then they arent going to just pull the plug because that would have been a total loss.. Producing the kit can justify the money spent on engineering it to be solid enough to retain the original warranty.

If there is not a part number, we should look at this with cautious optimism. GM is EXCLUDING SAAB from this upgrade. Since we have the SAAB 93 tranny in the 'balt, ours could be seriously de-tuned in first and maybe part of second gear to avoid grenading. This tranny is excruciatingly expensive to replace (05 redline experience). Cross your fingers!

I've seen yours, that is the only reason why I wanted a 4dr version... your car looks SO damn nice....
Another reason why I hate black.. PITA to keep clean... maybe white or silver.. well thats if I get another cobalt... time shall tell tho
