so is the zzp exhaust manifold a need, or can we reuse the stock exhaust manifold?

I don't want to sound like a dick, but probably will by saying this- This turbo is WAY out of the league of what they are offering. Their setup simply squeezes slightly larger wheels into the factory turbo. Gains are possible, but minimal. Our turbo is capable of 150whp gains over the stock turbo.

For anyone that is looking to do a bnr turbo, this is the way to go for sure. I bet this turbo has no problem making 430whp on 93

This turbo has a 54mm inducer, but the back side of the compressor wheel is slightly smaller that the 252 that we sell in our current kit. Overall HP potential is similar between the two turbos, but I would give the edge to the Z254 with all other upgrades considered. The most power I made on 93 with the 252 was in the 460 range. I think we could do 475 on 93 with the Z254.

LOL this compared to BNR - LOL glad I never got that ....

I can't even describe how bad ass this really is..

For those of us who understand what these turbo's offer besides a HUGE price tag they are 100% worth it in my book and I'll be one of the next people to be getting this on my car coming spring..

Those who understand how this makes the BNR look you aren't being a dick at all..

This makes the BNR option viable if you are on a serious budget..Otherwise its lame now ...

Sounds like hes being a dick. But treadstone dont have a turbo like this. Yea they have the efr line but not one with this exhaust housing and the couple custom pieces to make it a bolt on.

What do you think ?

For some one to buy a Turbo for 2500 USD + and spend all the time to see if will work with about a small chance of success?

That takes some nuts man ....

It's Treadstones fault they put that thread on here not ZZP's ( they gave away the idea )

They had the same opportunity to do this and knew about it before they did but didn't continue the research ...

We all need to be thankful this is an option now .... Without a different manifold and it even has its own recirculating valve like the stock..

Boost controller is easy

How can this not be full of win ?

2500 bones for a turbo that you should be able to use your charge pipes you have etc , this is a big deal..

If you read up on these things guys are running 600 HP on small displacement and still getting great fuel economy and drivability .

With switchable tunes you should barely even be able to notice the diff between this and the k04 for drivability . ( for people looking to build street cars this is good)

exactly what I said, they have efr's but they do not have what zzp has. The efr turbos dont cost 2500.00 either. There around 1500.00 and then what ever zzp's custom options add. If you think about it thats not expensive, you dont have to by a bov or a wastegate, so now your saving money. **** just my pte5857 was 1500.00. And zzp has obviously already made this work they made over 500hp on the first day.

This is the best news any of us could have! Borg Warner's EFR (Engineered For Racing) Turbo and on top of that as a Bolt-on! That's sick! They are expensive but promise low-end response, crazy top-end flow, lightweight and on top of that the integration of secondary turbo system components.

Just for this reasons im sold!

Ti-Gamma Turbine Wheels- Highly-Advanced alloy that combines Titanium and aluminum. Makes them roughly half the weight of the typical iconel wheel. These results in improved low-end response; higher boost levels at lower rpm's and higher overall wheel speeds. Plus the material properties of the Gamma-Ti are such that the material is weakest at room temperature but as temp s go up the wheel gains strength more stable.

Turbine Housing are cast out of stainless steel, wich is extremely crack-resistant compare to conventional cast-iron housings.

The Cold Side The durability has been taken care of with a dual ceramic bearing system and bearing housings with additional outlets for those who also want to water cool their center sections.

EFR Integrations This is for me the best part of all the biggest integration is the inclusion of an integrated blow-off valve. The blow-off valve is laid out as a compressor recirculation device that redirects the charge air from the turbo's compressor outlet to a low-pressure point just before the compressor inlet. This helps by keeping the unit spooled between shifts.
