ZZP LNF Cam Testing
I've heard so, and posted in their "should we build it" thread but yanno what SOMEBODY needs to pull the trigger on R&D because im tired of paying GM to replace **** they should have made right the first time.
Listening ZZP? I race, I beat my car, and I've tried every homebrew combination I can think of short of milling a block of billet.

I'm quite curious to see what the cam specs are...
I mean it's not like anyone else is offering these...
did you retain the OE centerline?
there's nothing wrong with regrinds - as long as it's outsourced to a company with a good reputation ~ I mean it's not like these are for pushrod engines where you can reduce the base circle, and compensate elsewhere - the base circle must remain consistent...
I am pretty sure I posted here oh, around nine months ago that I'd like to see some different grind cams available...

Hey guys, I got the LE5 cam IN THE CAR today. For what it's worth, it's NOT worth the effort to break the engine down to the point where you should retime the timing chain for peace of mind. IF I gained a couple ponies I'd be surprised. On the flip side, if I had a downpipe or full 3 inch exhaust I'm sure it'd be noticable, I DID REDUCE SPOOL TIME.
That said, don't do it, not worth it, and I didn't want to say anything here without being shotgun sure my tuning wasn't the culprit, the engine doesn't really change, I got some midrange back that I lost with the cat and muffler deletes, but with what I do in road racing, I just do not have anything positive to say, sorry guys.
And I epoxied the charge pipe, it's held just fine and goes to show how cheap I can be sometimes (no really just wanted to get this testing done, been itching to get the car out with the cam in it, and I didn't want to offset the results with a new charge pipe)

yeah I guess that is where the confusion comes from, I come from the V8 world and DOHC, pretty much means 4-valve 4.6L V8 from Ford with count em 4 cams, lol
