OK, so yes it does dump in more fuel to compensate? If so, why is there an issue of the engine leaning out then....kaboom? I'm not worried about my engine blowing up, because I drive like an old woman in the winter, but I'm just trying to grasp the idea so I don't feel like a tard in the future.

When will people realize that because the IATs are cooler that doesn't correlate to lower engine temps!

Buy EGT gauges people.... so you can really see that your EGTs change as the weather gets cooler and warmer!

I will give Al some credit, he did crack a 13.5 IIRC with those bad rings. Altho, I ran a 13.6 and having the car stall in the same run cause of missing exhaust valves.

Precisely.

But nooo0o0o0o....

nobody will listen on this site. Then they bill blow their motors, or their engines will start misfiring, and they will blame the car.

well in all the tuning on my car, it always stays the same regardless of temp. Still holds my usual 11.2 afr and 22.1 psi... pump gas and 19 degrees of timing.... it loves it.

He's also only been to the track 3 times with that car. Where as me, Dan, and most other people would go twice a week during spring/summer/fall. I have stacks upon stacks of slips around here.

Youre making alot of dangerous assumptions here.

First that there will actually be registered KR before detonation related damage occurs.

Second that you will be able to "let off" once you notice it.

Heres a shocking newsflash, three actually, 1)not all damaging forces even register KR, 2) youre not faster than than the engine 3) chances are that if you notice it, the dmage is done.

I've been wondering what I could do to keep the car alive another winter...NEWB Tuner with HPT! So is this SAFE enough??? 4 gear pulls from 2000rpms BTW. Did it the other day and of course I went w/the Lower one of the runs...

pull car and a half with passenger and tools and subs...thats a win...unless being behind the other car is winning...in which case u won?

also neither slips have as 0-115 mph rating on em...and im pretty sure u havent broken 110 yet at the track have u? maybe i just dont remember u doing it cause i did so long ago
ROFL!

as we went to take off, i checked behind me, like a good little street racein boy, noticed the only other car on the road at that time happened be be sitting perfectly behind us, and it had a grill guard.

you just got rick-rolled by AHPD!

my little blower car was beaten on you that whole night. I think i may even have a video!

Holy freaking shiz'nit! We want the *BOOM*! Gotta have that *BOOM*!

Your engine will be in pieces soon.

Edit: Check your tune, make sure you got PE delay set to 0, the minimum rpm to something like 2000, minimum throttle position at like 50, and add more fuel. You can run leaner then most with your meth, but damn bro! You didn't get down to 12:1 till 5,600rpm on one run and 6,400rpm on the other.

Also that small pulley your running (2.5" right?) seems to be overspinning your blower and making your torque curve drop pretty quickly. Try switching to a 2.8". Your peak torque will drop but you should be able to hold the curve better and actually net more HP. Won't hurt ether since it'll make it (a little) easier to launch.

LOL I do not remember being beaten at all. That is the only "run" I remember was with the cop. I remember not having any problem with blower cars up the MI way. Just thinking about my car back then brings up memories of that fueling glitch and to this day still pisses me off.
