Call me a hater all you want, the car still looks slow, and IS slow. Until I see some track vids/times to make me a liar, Im sticking to my guns.

And as for third running out to 118, do you think this car will trap at 118 mph? not even close... get over the noise! Its NOT going to run 12's.
Dude this is .net

Noise = Fast
Noise + Stickerz = FAST@R

the fact that you cant accurately see how long it takes to go through gears is a big deal. You have no exact comparison, and if the kit knocks off .2 seconds per gear and thats being conservative, you wont be able to see that in video comparisons, and over the course of 3 gears thats .6 tenths of a second in the quarter mile.

With 300WHP i would slap any driver that cant get their car into the 12's.

To my knowledge this kit never made 300 whp, I think it was 281. My point still stands, long gears or not, granny shifting or not, that was NOT a 12 sec car in that vid. period.

LOL...ya its just how they roll here

****...I guarantee I'll beat any twinscrewed car. Unless they are running nawz...in which case ill bring some too.

Turbo>TS but i do want to watch the vids when i get home. I may not be a TS fan but I do like the fact that ppl are developing new parts for our cars.

My statement was you saying it took so long to run out third gear which you thought was 105. I merely pointed out that it is actually 118 at 7G's.

realistically trap speed will be over 105mph to be conservative. 118 would net high 11's. a friends SRT4 does that with Drag radials. low 12's consistenly. his trap speeds are 118.

but yeah 12's are more than doable. I am low 13's with DR's. I have modded quite abit since I did 13.9 at 102.5 with just GMS2 at 15psi. What do you think 22PSI will do? just think about it?

I can tell you will have to witness it to shut up though. you belong in a honda. your embarassing all the other IONS. you should get this kit. you could be just as fast.

Oh and I pretty sure your the one who is slow.

Shouldnt we wait for some final numbers and videos before passing judgment?

I mean, it wasnt the OP who claimed it was a 12 second car, so lets try not to crap all over his thread for a while...

i just love how every decent thread turns into just absolute nonsense...we need a ihateeverysetupevarmade thread so you guys can just go post in there...i hate having to thin out the stupid and obvious bullsh*t posts to get to the actual intelligent ones...i love how you guys are trying to guestimate 1/4 mile times off of a video where a guy was obviously slowshifting cause he was steering and shifting with his one free hand...geebus...

back to the topic at hand fellas...
i loved the third video...cant wait to see what numbers you make

Yes, I'm disgusted with the way this thread has turned because of a couple of guys' hate. I just don't understand why some people have to be so negative and **** on someone elses' party.

He doesn't have to talk to us. He doesn't have to spend his precious time here posting his words and videos when he could be out driving and tuning his exciting car.

I am interested in this kit and really appreciate what he is doing, saving me time and money and making it far easier for me to decide the direction I want to take my car. And for that, sir, I thank you.

Hopefully he will have some tuning done and maybe some numbers within a few days, then all the speculation and arguing will just have been a waste of time.

no it made 281WHP with the same pulley, we haven't tested a smaller pulley yet although we have a 2.6" that fits the hub

only difference is it made 281WHP at 5700rpm and we'll see how the number rise at 7k.

Ya but you don't want to go too small with a twinscrew if you want it to last.

Any updates on you guys offereing better internals on these to spin them more? I remember seeing in another thread you were looking into it.

To all those who say the car is slow, that is fine. I've driven my car for quite awhile now, as I just passed 20K on the ODO with this kit on, and I can tell you for sure that the car is at it's peak right now as we speak. That is untuned as well. Please remember too that this is with a lowered compression ratio due to my 2.2L Cometic headgasket as the 2.0L one wasn't available at the time. No excuses, I'll get some proof everyone can be proud of.

I wanted to get a video with my buddies SRT-4 that my car was damn near close to mine with 2.6" pully tuned setup. We were always neck and neck needless to say, but he just sold it and bought a truck. My other buddy has a WRX with an STi turbo pushing 21-22psi and has dyno'd at 300+awhp which was on par with our cars as well. I'll see if I can get him to do a video of us doing a pull together for you guys to give a better idea of what the car has now.

How exactly am I embarassing IONS? I drive a cobalt, and a mustang.

This is exactly what im talking about, youre "low 13's with drag radials" says who?? Just because youve "modded quite a bit", lmao!! 15 psi to 22 psi, holy crap it MUST be faster!! seriously? i think djt81185 is right, its all stickerz and nawz on this board.

I think its funny when people talk smack like "buy this kit, you could be just as fast"

Let me get this out in the open, my car ran a best of 11.97 @ 112.8 mph, best mph on slower et (12.0x) was almost 114. Show me one cobalt on this board thats faster than that. NONE.

I cant believe no one on here will agree that the fact that the fastest cobalt is slower than some run of the mill foxbody is PATHETIC. Its like some alternate ricer dimension youre all stuck in.

some of you ppl are just fackin stupid. I could care less what it runs in the 1/4 but the last 3 LSJ's that i saw making over 280 whp on DR's ran 12's, high 12's but 12's.

2K5's SS will make more than 300whp currently and hoping to see anywhere from 320-350whp depending on pully/boost.

Maybe im not making myself clear, I didnt say it WON'T be fast, or COULDN'T be fast, its just not fast now. Ill repeat my first post in this thread, I hope theres a ton left in tuning.

Yet is right victory red, I'd hate to line up against your car when you get it done.

its an 87 mustang, 347 stroker ect ect.

here is the timeslip, my mistake it was 11.947.

Check out that 60', I'd like to see a FWD cobalt put down a short time like that.
