After 1 week, I managed to go 160 miles on 12 gallons of ethanol. I didn't realize that during the install we also did the lead foot mod. She's running great and a blast to drive now. Can't wait to race it this weekend

I agree that mileage sucks ass. Hah and I was mad when I dropped to 26. The heavy foot probably has a lot to do with that tho

Running stock TB. It gets 18-20mpg on E now, drove it a couple hundred miles on the highway over the weekend.

She ran great! Best run was my first run, 13.6 in the quarter. Getting no traction and wheel hop in 1st gear now. 60ft was 2.4 which shows lots of room for improvement. My best trap was 109mph. I believe I was the only m62 LSJ in the 13s at the bash

Nice! There's plenty of room for improvement. You get her to hook up it will be dangerous

which map? obviously not the tvs one. the "discretion" map is for drag only. the "josh" map is for an e85 m62 car.

im sure you could, but i wouldn't advise it. look at the map i ran in mine vs that one. the peak timing at peak torque and peak hp are different. this is just for usable power differences and rod bearing life.

As I've seen you say before, is a few extra hp worth short rod bearing life?
I plan to run a fairly tame timing map on my new motor. There will already be more power than is readily usable on the street. No sense in pushing it too hard.

bryan - just looked at it again, and the slopes are the same but a few degrees from each other. nevermind my earlier confusion

slopes are the same, but the final numbers are not. i stopped at 27 i think on my personal one due to the minuscule gains above this. .5-1 whp isn't worth torquing the bearings. that "win" timing map was created for someone who wanted a big track number.
it worked.
