The only real cost is the sparco intercooler which like I said I might be able to get it for free or next to nothing. As soon as you get back we'll swap cars I'll give you the 500 I owe Fred you take it to him one day and just pay him for my tune and we'll call it even.

Talking

Done..... Car runs great, no CIL, no hesitation any more! Instant throttle response. I drove the car last night and today. You know how with the 2.7" pulley the supercharger you wouldn't dare touch. Now it's luke warm after a bunch of good pulls, and the intake manifold stays ice cold. It's amazing! It'll go to the DYNO next week or so, so we'll see I'm feeling about a 40-50 HP gain just off the seat of my pants! This time I'm going to have Fred tune it for the Meth and add more timing. I should be around 300-310WHP...... If any one needs help IM me I'll shoot you some Ideas.
Thanks.

Just what I've been looking for. Apparently I was under the impression that Hahn already had a good intake manifold made for our cars? Can't remember where I read that...

Now... I/We want results. Preferably in numbers and graphs please

hahn has a turbo manifold rockSTAR. this is the first true intake manifold that isn't just a ported stocker.

That's what it was. Gotcha

Like mentioned before, what's the problem with designing something that comes straight down from the bottom of the blower, thru a cooling core of some sort, and directly into the engine block? No 90's and 180's and what have ya. I have no experience with things of this sort, just only starting to learn more about it, but it seems somewhat simple to me?

Wow I'm amazed that fit. When I first looked at it I was like no way, but nice job. I'd like to see your iats.

Also I've been working on something similar, but the core I'm using I'm gunna try and get a little more in the manifold.

i thought the same, like having a square intercooler bolted to the bottom of the blower, and then a collector and runners into the intake ports.

Exactly... You don't see the IM unless you look for it, so what it looks like -really- won't matter to me. The smaller the size (still with a decent size core, mind you), shorter the distance the air travels, and the less it weighs the better. Perhaps something like this..

Let the cooling core be the last thing the air goes thru before it enters the engine -OR- like you said bolted to the bottom of the blower... Whichever proves easiest/most efficient. One long core that pretty much covers all the ports would do. Have it bolt from the bottom of the blower, then a collector and individual runners like you said, then the cooling core, where it then bolts to the engine block. On the drivers side of the core, have the inlet hose for the coolant, and on the passenger side have the outlet for the coolant. Run coolant lines according to your coolant set up from there on out...

*opens paint*

And for those (ralli) that can't see these at work/in the sand box:

My buddy tried to make an aftermarket manifold like your picture but if you move the supercharger at all i.e. the angle it'll cause the rotors to eat them selves trust me, but feel free. keep me posted. I'll have all the numbers next week!

Its not the moving of the angle that does it. Its not having a solid support for the sc to bolt to.

I am trying really really hard to be polite. why f**k with a manifold that isnt engineered that cant possibly work for a car that is already obsoleted by the LNF? I dont get it refine what you have enjoy it and if you want more go tune an LNF for 200 bucks and get 300 hp without trying...

Good idea, hey can you give me the 19,000 minimum it cost for one of those cars with that engine in it already?

Or should I possibly keep my redline, thats payed off, and maybe try and get the same, or possibly more HP out of it than the LNF?

The LSJ is more than capable of 300WHP, if the intake wasnt holding it back........

I wonder how much it'd be just to buy the lnf head and ecu, if your going to turbo your lsj, would you see a decent gain from vvt and direct-injection? But yeah, the lsj should be capable of decent power(atleast compared to stock) once you open up the head and intake manifold

I mean rebel made 250whp on stock pulley, stock rev limit, on i/h/e, ported head, 3.5" tb, and a tune. On a dyno that was reading 220whp on stage 2, intake, exaust. Be really nice to see what kind of #'s that'd run with a ported intake manifold, cams, meth, 2.9 and 7000rpm limiter.

LS1 thats an awesome design... but it still might be too thick to fit in the space it needs to be in.
