Staged, i know you swapped cams onto your stock head and reused you cam caps no problem, and im quite sure you reused all your stock components on your new head, correct? Hockeyman, 574, what about you guys?
I did not buy new cam caps when I swaped cams the first time, because the caps were the ones that belonged with the head.

I did not reuse them with my gmr head though.... that came with brand new cam caps.

Just use the caps that came with the head man. Don't make the build more difficult than it has to be, lol.

I bought my head from Japeatr and sent it to JR to be ported/assembled. We used the cam caps original to this head.

Ok found the cam caps they all look pretty clean on the inside.

Got my cams too! They look good, though looking at the wear on surfaces they look a bit beat up but should suffice. Only a few scratches beyond normal wear

Havent done **** yet!

Waiting on valves, valve stem locks, valve spring retainers then we can assemble most of the head.

This weekend ill be out of town at a wedding unfortunately. So during next week i hope to assemble the head, then rip off the bumper and everything else possible so that over the weekend we can take the motor out

Oh 30-60 k will do fine man, the heater at my house for our two car garage is 35000 and it gets plenty warm in about 20 minutes and from there it gets hot

its easy unless everything is rusted..... took me a full day fighting all the rusty/old parts the first time. i sprayed all the cradle nuts the night before

Done! Took three sets of hands, a forklift, a lift, and about two hours to drop the cradle, get the engine and trans off the cradle, and the cradle back in so we could roll her into a trailer.
