If my memory serves me correct, I believe he was still running the stock exhaust when he pulled 280whp.

Hey to help get back some what of the topic. I have a grifin yet to be installed and I just noticed your sig, did you see a dramatic drop in temps? I know its a apples to oranges statement considering different cars and weather and other variables, but on a board veiw?

cruising- about 20 degrees over ait1.. after a few pulls back to back iver never hit 140 in 70-80 degree weather on a 2.8 pulley. the temps fall real fast after a pull which is where it really helps. but all this was before i put the ac condenser back on. i dont know if that would affect temps or not. i say it will a tad bit due to it blocking the griffin of direct air

I put down 272whp with the 1200ax It was with a CTI header/catted downpipe, corsa exhaust, GMPP dual pass, and Injen intake. Meth was installed, but not used so the numbers made were with timing at 19*. It was on a low rating Mustang Dyno as well that with just an intake the car made 197whp. There is one guy on here that still has his and is pushing 350whp daily with it.

This 1600ax should be able to best that easily and not have to run the blower near its rpm limit. I'm interested to see how the stock motor car does with it on and all dialed in.

How many psi was this on

I imagine pretty low... to achieve 19* of timing on a m62 with iats reaching a max of 130*, afr around 11.5. I was at 14-15 psi on a 2.9 using 91.

If I remember correctly it was at 23-25psi. Can't remember exactly though.

Something doesn't add up... dynos vary, but I saw a 60whp increase at 24 psi on the mp90 over my m62 2.7 on 15 psi. figure every degree at 24 psi is 3whp gain...247whp vs 309whp

24 psi at 7000 rpm on a relatively stock intercooler without methanol is around 180* Iat2 and 120% Idc on 60s

Hmm....

I could have swore you made more power. Maybe you explained what your power would have been on a happy dyno, and that's why I thought you made more.

Regardless, it was some neat stuff back in the day.

He also said a stock car on that dyno did 197. Don't look at the peak, look at the gain

Oh I understand all that.

I just remembered him making more power when he made the threads about the twin screw back in the day.

My memory is fading. I'm getting old!
