umm how wont it be worth it ? assuming the price is lower then 4K if it makes good gains (ie being able to hit 300 WHP with headroom) people are thinking about doing the twin screw swap pending it hits 300-330 whp on a DJ reliably.. i would hope that a procharger could at least trump that.. or i might be looking at different plans ... BOOOO

Sorry I just dont see this being the best setup for the lsj! The system will show better gains on a 2.2 or 2.4l but to me the lsj needs more airflow the the c1 can put out! or at least a very small cog system!

but doesn't the procharger put out more airflow then the M62? and what about using a C 2 blower?

You may want to give a good look at the Rotrex line of superchargers - they have basically rendered all other designs obsolete. THey are being used with good success on the Honda s2000 - making 400hp. They are very small compared to a conventional Centri, and spin much much faster which enables them to use volute designs from turbo. The low end boost would be higher then that of a procharger and they would be much easier to fit in the engine bay as they are a bit bigger than a typical alternator. They can make huge amounts of boost and are extremely efficient. Give them a look - you may end up dumping the procharger altogether.

I will be putting my car on the dyno at the end of jan or early feb! I will try and make a video in the daytime!

All that hype with everybody all over their jock and now we get back pedaling.
Sucks for them I'm sure but I can help but laugh at all the people that thought this would be such a big deal. I was excited about it and wanted to see it work but some of the people on here were just pitiful how adament they were how this would decimate all.

I still think it would work well if they don't try to include all the R&D in the price. I know people want to get paid for the work but sometimes you have to take a hit initially to make money in the end.
Maybe I've missed something along the way but besides the tuning I don't think there's a lot involved as far as parts go. Doesn't seem like they'd have too much trouble selling a few kits if they didn't try to make all the money on a crazy markup. But then that's just my opinion.

Wow,that was a big flop huh?I wanted to see what kinda numbers the car would put out with that blower on it.I dont see how that blower would be too small for the lsj?Isnt it rated for up to 600 hp or something? The only thing i would be worried about about would be that small ass pulley like you were saying. That thing would slip like crazy at redline.Anyways good luck with the project.

from what me and Matt have discussed and looked at over all bang for the buck...you would need to go to a bigger head unit (that means more money) and then larger piping (more money) and then to really get the flow going you will need to do some engine mods to really utilize the procharger...but that being said it just not worth the money unless your a full blown gear head and you have money to spend and do crazy things...we are trying to promote a full swap and make the numbers but if the price is off the charts then why press it out there if you only have a buyer here or there...

but again matt still needs to do dyno numbers and that being said if the numbers are high enough then maybe the money can be justified but lets say there right over 300whp then nah from a customers stand point money can be spent on other things...But who's to say...its a great kit looks nice and does the job but the price mark is just not there...

but for the 2.4L guys and 2.2L guys there is allot of fat that can be trimmed and then it becomes affordable and a great bolt up kit...

but lets see what the numbers do

thats too bad

sounds to me like its lacking power and thats why its not going into production...even more reason to go to a compressor spun by exhaust and not by a belt

dont think that is it, but i do think matt is going to get it dynoed at 21psi and see what he comes up with...that should tell the story...

i'm wondering if this isn't due to the lack of compression in the LSJ. Since the procharger builds in line w/ RPM, the LSJ is just having trouble getting th RPMs up to where the procharger starts to give it some air?

just a theory. explains why they chose the roots, but doesn't quite explain why others are having luck w/ turbo. Unless the slight parasitic loss of the procharger is hindering the LSJ just enough to make a problem.

Here whats up! The boost comes in very late and thats part in the belt slipping slightly. Also the stock intercooler doesnt flow well either under these conditions. What im looking at doing is a front mount intercooler with the 2.4l intake manifold. That should give us back the lost boost pressure. The kit right now is still going on but just at a slower rate due to the amount of customers in my shop and there needs! Just check back in a few weeks when I bolt down the manifold and run so larger piping to an fmic! The swap will give us about 3-5 psi more and allow that procharger to be were it needs to be.
