Ok I'm doing the turbo swap with the zzp kit. Which lines should I T off of to run a line to my boost gauge for the best reading. I know the bov should have its own line. So should I go off of one of the lines that goes from the manifold to wastegate? Mp cobalt what did you do?

No removing the fuse box is easy, removing the thermostat was a pain in the ass. But removing the fuse box makes changing out the thermostat much easier

Which would u use? Cometic with 051 thickness or stock headgasket. I pulled my head to get some more work done and to install supertech springs. I ordered the cometic and then heard it leaks, so i bought a stock one just to be safe. what do u guys think? oh and i also had my lsj head milled a thousandth. Wondering if my compression would be 9 :1, with the cometic

if you are going to run the cometic, you need to deck the block and head, get it flat. The reason a lot of ppl have had issues with them is they try to install it without checking to see if the deck is flat so of course it will leak.

I have had a Cometic on my car for years now. I never had any issues but I'll be going back to stock once I tear my motor open again. I think stock should be fine. Why such a thick headgasket?

I figured after having the head and block decked(milled) it will make up for the loss of metal and it will lower my compression a bit more. I found that if you run .025 more than the stock HG it will lower compression about .5 points. So With this head gasket being about .24 thicker than a stock head gasket. I will see about 9:1 compression with my 9.5:1 forged pistons.

It wont pop. They are multi-layered just like cometic and I feel the same quality.

Does the Zzp turbo swap come with a oil pan with bung for the oil line or does it have to be welded onto my original one ?

Yup that's one thing people have to keep in mine when ordering the kit. You have to take your oil pan off and drill/ weld their bung on. Good thing I bought an oil pan with a bung already welded from Frew on here before I ordered their kit. I think I have an extra zzp bung and oil feed line if anyone needs it as well as my lsj stock oil pan if anyone's interested

hahah bought it off Frew huh. That's my buddy lol were going to ZZP here in November getting my car in house dyno tuned no more can tune and going to be talking to matt about my motor build plans

The only issues I ran across is when I ordered there oil pan they offer on the site and the dip stick never met up with the bolt on the intake manifold so it's zip tied (lame) I'm going to bring that to there attention while I'm there also I want it right so i can check my oil a lot easier than I am now.
