i say what you need is a tuner man, at least a base map. if everything is setup and connected right then your car shouldnt have any issues UNLESS it isnt tuned. remember your changing to a completely different setup, and whatever tune you had before turbo swapping is not going to recognize any change your car has taken.

because your car is running on pure VE(volumetric efficiency) maps based on readings from the map sensor

so its like speed density?? its taking estimates of the flows?? so a tune will help and make the maf work again or what do you guys suggest?? i dont wanna waste money on tuning if thats not the cure?

Just curious, does zzp's turbo kit bolt up to the stock lsj exhaust? Or do you need an aftermarket 3inch exhaust for it to work

you'll need a 3" or a 2.5" to 3" pipe on the end.

not trying to be an ass, just wondering what needs to be turned off specifically, wanted to make sure there arent anythings that Im overlooking

I've already replaced my throttle body and getting the same codes, Im getting a new pedal position sensor just waiting for it to arrive at the dealership.

the random misfire is new since Ive turbo'd, I did not have this when I was sc'd. My tuner monitors the misfires closely, and Ive replaced the spark plugs, compression checked, leak down checked, swapped coils around, checked sensors. Nothing has changed the random misfires

Im fairly positive that I need to clean both my MAF and O2 sensors.

yeah i have the 2 tb codes one of the same you have zzp is sending me a new tb cause the wiring is all correct and not visibly pinched cut or shorted and i didnt have a problem at all with the lsj tb on it..misfire sounds like a intake side vacuum leak i always got those when i was s/c and had a leak at the IM, does the car idle up and down

its possible, but you need absolubtely everything you need in place and order, including waterlines which are annoying, oil pan, and little things like that. but if you know what ur doing and have some extra hands on ur side it could be done in a day. i would start with the oil pan though since you gotta make sure the gasket dries completely. once you do that you can work on the rest of things while its getting dried.

I've got everything (i think anyway ) with the exception of the oil pan. i have to wait and see what size fitting i need to get welded into it. I think the only problem I'll have is water/oil/vacuum lines. the rest is pretty paint by numbers so to speak. I'm pretty excited about it. everyone tells me I'll fall in love with my car all over again once it's done.

lol you will. just make sure you do everything right bro lol. it becomes an easier task if you also do it with someone that has already done it too.
