Official Turbo LSJ thread!!!
BIG power LSJ! | ZZP News
This is not at all what I was talking about. Power enrichment doesn't play that big of a role
like i said i really don't pay attention lol. i don't hit it on the street. even at 20psi since i'm on 110 the car freakin hauls. but if you're doing a 40 in 2nd. its pretty much instant head back in the seat acceleration.
Slow down, read this, open your wallet, and all your dreams will come true.

very first race. 30 roll. blew the tires up in 2nd but i didn't just start stomping the pedal up and down like most people do. you control it and let it spin but still accelerate. notice how when i shift to 3rd i'm instantly back in power? most people when they spin second will just start kicking the pedal thinking ERMURGERD and then they think they're up to speed but really aren't so when they shift to 3rd they aren't going anywhere. i'm not saying people can't drive. i'm just saying they should make sure they know how lol.
don't worry about the second or third race. weird mph starts and no my speedo isn't off. we're really going that fast that soon.

Ok ok I calmed down a little bit lol and I have decided I am looking more for 380-425hp and to have some room to grow for later. So I think the S256et is the way to go. Better spool time and I can always upgrade the turbo later. Does anyone else perhaps have any other suggestions?
who said anything about 15psi
he said he wants low 400 on low boost. 259 on pump will do that on 20-22psi. and then it will make the power he wants later on, and then some.

oh well. i've showed him track videos. street. spool really isn't that bad at all. makes an ass load of power. and sounds like a pissed off hissing snake when it's spooled.
Go over the parts list and make sure you have everything! Zzp didn't send me an alternator and I had to hold off on the swap a few days.
Have something really sharp to get the oil pan off. Sharpen a spackle knife or something and slowly work your way around. I had trouble getting mine off and I don't suggest doing this but this is what I did.....I took off the dipstick, covered that nub with a rag, placed a large thick socket extension over it and pounded the crap out of it till the oil pan and block separated a little bit. Once again I don't reccommend doing that but I was in a pinch and it worked for me. Also make sure every single bolt for the oil pan is off.
Install the grey return line before you mount the turbo. It's a pita to get that hose on the fitting when you're under the car. Needs a lot of force to get wiggled on. You'll see.
Don't forget to retighten the turbo manifold bolts after a few heat cycles. Don't want any leaks slowing down your spool and over stressing the turbo
Zzp's generic bov was giving me surge, went with the tial q and its all good now.
Don't drop the bolt for the tensioner pulley in the frame like I did when going through the wheel well to get the idler pulley off. I had to spend some time fishing it out with a telescoping magnet
Pm me while you're doing the swap if you have any questions.

Good info this will help me out some more and is there any other options you would suggest over others? External dump or recirculating? Ect...
External dump is loud at full boost. At first I was regretting my decision to not recirculate but now I got used to it and don't really mind.
