Official Turbo LSJ thread!!!
Damn . What you do to the car this time Haha. Its weird I did what the damn instructions said. The evap nipple even blew off the intake manifold so something with the controller or my wastegate is sticking.
But my main issues that I have might be purely based on me being paranoid. Honestly, I got pulled over the other day doing a second gear pull because I'm just doing pulls in 2nd and 3rd to see how the car reacts. BTW I wasn't speeding, and the cop was like, "come on guy, it's just a cobalt, seriously? Not impressive."
I feel like every so often, the fuel cuts out when I'm doing a pull, or cuts in and out. The best way I can explain it is that the engine feels like its trying to go all out but keeps stuttering.
Sometimes it runs perfect, and sometimes it runs kind of like ****. That's why I'm debating on making the trip from MA to Michigan to visit ZZP.
No cat straight pipe.
Does it matter which side of the pipe?

nothing..yet. lol. i moved and have it at my parents house till i put the new transmission in it. once that's done i'll get some bigger injectors, retune it and crank it to 600 again.
Well the guy that tuned me, tuned you... Haha. It was the first time they tuned a Turbo Swapped LSJ. Well, the three days were because I went back twice after driving it for a week with issues I wanted to address. The main issue was that the idle would keep bouncing, he finally got it stable but it still does it every so often, not sure if that is common.

i am getting there. Seriously. Had to draw the line somewhere and remind myself this is a daily driver. After I get retuned with my new fuel regulator, hoping for 440whp. I am done with my engine. Its honestly more than I could ever want in a fwd 2900 lb car and with my **** MX habits, this thing should last for ever at a measly 25 psi.
My goal was to always get to a good solid reliable 400 and not worry about kr. DONE.

I still can't figure out why my car is down on power. Changed the boost controller see if it was a bad controller and still feels like it pulls slow. Checked the turbo exhaust side and all the blades looked good. The issue was I turned the boost up to 20 on Dyno and the gauge showed it didn't see the 20 psi to around redline it stayed at 17 to about 6500 and then bumped up to 20 right before shift
When i have their budget, if ever, then I will worry about them.
Its the daily drive through some twisty back roads or taking the long scenic way to work, dropping the gear, hearing the BOV sing to you and enjoy the ride. I have concluded power isnt everything. I love the balance of my car.
