turbo lsj to be soon again cant freaking wait. this time going with the zzp s256. if funds allow and go as planned ill be shooting for the built block with the ported head. If NY has E85 then ill like my goal to be around 500whp since the car will be paid off this year!

prefect thanks, what size was the drill bit? and how did you get a drill in there from top down without ovaling the hole?

what does he mean here anyone? Water lines? The 20g uses only oil lines.

i wont have the turbo in my hands until monday, i cant see what you are saying. Hahn said the turbo was oil only. I do have a water pump cover that is already tapped though standing by.

the Install book wasnt all that helpful man. trust me. lol i was one of the first ones to buy the kit. idk if hahn we did the install instructions, if he didnt, then they are very poorly detaild. Beware of the passenger side charge piping. you gotta get it just right or when you turn left, tire will rub, or your crank pulley will rub. at least i had these problems. One tip for install of charge piping, spray any type of hair spray on the inside of the coupler then clamp it down. its like an adhesive and helps keep the charge piping from popping out of the couplers

Not a problem. i had to learn the hard way. haha. the passenger side was the only side that gave me the most problems. always blew off. so id have to pull over, take the wheel off, fix and throw it back together. was annoying as fu**

it was a 9/16 drill bit
I took the exhaust off to make room for the drill there is actauly plenty of room once you do that then I just took my time drilling the hole I tried to make it perpendicular to the gallie. also once you tap the hole make sure to use pipe tape on the fitting threads just to make sure you dont leak
make sure you thoroughly clean out all the shavings before installing the fitting I sprayed wd-40 over the threads and wiped them down good to make sure there were no problems

as for ovaling the hole I got under the car put the drill in place and started drilling just be steady with your hand, you have to drill about 1.5 inches so even if you start out ovaly you should have a good hole by the time you make it through

also if youre like me and ended up a little off from your drilling point you might nick the bolt hole directly below the galie, I had to go back and inject silicone in the hole then install a bolt in order to seal that one up
here is the bolt and such and the second pic is is looking down the bolt hole the little spec of light is the breach. if you do breach it just inject silicone install a bolt in the hole and then wipe away any silicone that was pushed through the breach to the oil return path from the bolt

well I wanted to use the complete LNF setup, so originaly I just wanted to use the push in fitting but it leaked so I taped it and put in a threaded fitting insted of the pushin fitting no problems since plus its a direct path from the turbo to the oil pan so less restriction for the oil return since you dont have to go around the axle

Lol, do u have pics of the send? Instead of using the drill and tap why didnt you just use that bolt u nicked with a threaded fitting for the return?

1800 isnt a lot, my car as it sits has $13k invested, and Im currently doing a motor build. Add up everything Ive invested/bought/sold/etc. final total >$25k.

because the bole hole would have emptied into the crank case insted of the oil pan and the axel would have goten in the way of the fitting, also it is parallel wihth the ground. I wanted somthing that was direct out of the turbo into the oil pan and that was as direct as you can get

as for oil feed im using the oil gallie on the back of the engine, the one closest to the thermostat I will try to get a pic of it later today when I tinker with my charge pipes

^This. In the past month I've bought new Rims, someone damaged my hood so I bought a new CF Hood, and thought **** it, new Tjin CF Trunk as well, along with Turbo swap kit from ZZP along with their 3" exhaust, and I'm on the list for Powells new YYZ Springs. I'm forgetting a few things, but all of that alone is about $8,600. And that's in the past two months.

You got to pay to play. Good luck with everything.

That was not what I was getting at. I will be clearer (my fault). I have spent probably 20-30K in axle swapping trucks and building jeeps. ITS A SICKNESS. I moved onto something smaller and economical. I am not trying to spend a lot on this car, that is why I have bought just about everything used. Or new unused parts. I am 32 years old and my priorities are saving and building a home. I had bought land this year and I am broke. The air force then decided it was time I move and now I have land I cant build on. Sorry for the off topic rant. But cars and trucks and mods are a huge waste of money. I see dozens of cars on ebay selling like this "30 thousand invested" then I laugh cause they are selling it for 15K. How is that investing. I teach dave ramsey and well I guess he brain washed me. I get it costs but this car is going to be fast and CHEAP. LOL, Thanks for the good luck, I am going to need it.

you sir are my hero. This will be the first thing I do when I get the exhaust manifold off. is "axelthered05 oil return system" a mod? it is now!

SO i need to make a short list for the local autoparts store.
3/8 npt
9/16 or 37/64 drill bit
rtv silicon
gasket maker for oil pan
copper gasket spray for manifolds
can of hairspray to act as adherent on the couplings for charge pipes
can of engine degreaser (just need it to help get gunk off while I am in there)
new oil
new coolant dex

anything I am missing?
