Official TVS Thread!!!
This was actually the wife's idea haha. This came out my 55 Chevy and was gonna sell it but she wanted to use it. How was I gonna argue lol.
A surge tank set-up is definitely nice but this was cheaper solution to many problems I wanted to address, range and starvation the main two. Since I already possessed the cell and 20ft of braided -6 an line and some fittings it worked out for us.
Plus I wanted a simple system and didn't want to over complicate thing and have to wire up several pumps.

Lots of changes... Sorting out some details and then going to make a thread. For sure the block is going to Belvedere, for sure new crank from Mongo, and for sure new cams are in the works... Everything else you guys can guess on until i drop another build thread
I am considering turning stock into sump and running a fuelab prodigy pump and fuelab electronic fuel pressure regulator to control it. I have heard nothing but rave reviews from these pumps. Quiet, reliable, and powerful!
I honestly don't see to much bad putting one in. Yes we will loose some trunk space, but not as much as it seems. The cell barley sits higher then the floor when it sits in the well. This set-up will cure all our issues and get us some great fuel range too!!
I had thought about going that route for quite a while. A local car buddy has it done to his skittle. Its been done on lots of other platforms. My only gripe was how low it hangs. Seeing as how we have our car pretty low already and barley get up and out the driveway I opted not to.
Honestly Google should give plenty good info on fuel cells. Its just a purpose built gas tank. This mod is not for everyone nor should it be recommended for anyone here. I'm just going to the extreme because like stated it was laying around and we wanted a bigger tank to hold more fuel.
you do not need to sump the tank there is a better way and if you do not sump it the correct spot or the sump is not deep enough then your back to square one
for those wanting to know what the fuel sending unit reads
full

empty

my meter was messed up and that is what the new meter had to say right inline with what tjolley read on his meter
