So if you choose to spray meth, just done tune it so the car relies on it and you can catch it if you ever have an issue.
spraying lots of meth is not a problem, using a cheap kit is.

Ya I know there's a kit that will cut engine power if the meth quits but it's super expensive. 99% of the kits out there no matter what if the meth injection quits, you're running lots of it and don't catch it the motor is goin down.

Just a question regarding the meth injection, anyone think aem's wideband fail safe gauge could potentially pick up the meth pump failing and revert the car to a rich tune to protect the engine? Or that split second is enough to destroy it?

Install correctly

Set fail safe via timing adders in the tune itself

Stop being a *****

I just installed my 7 year old system on a 2.4 sc. Runs 12gph and 10* advance at 14 psi

Mine is on the other end of the spectrum. 17gph of straight meth. I have had it quit twice. Once tank was empty, other the boost line popped off thanks to 30 psi. Both times I was logging, and both times the car just dumped over as if I let off the gas. No kr. No problems.

Wow that's crazy arm haha. Back when I ran a 7gph on my M62 the pump quit but kr would go crazy with and sort of wot so I knew. The last time with my 14gph all it took was a quick 4-7k pull in 2nd passing someone and I busted a ring land. No kr even showed up. Perhaps it was just detonating that hard.

Yeah 7 pre turbo, 10 post.
No meth iat would break 200 halfway through 3rd. Now they drop during a pull.

The difference here is that you are not relying on the meth for octane, and will not see much for KR if it fails, even if the car were to keep trying to pull. E85 is the ultimate safety cushion.

Me personally, I recommend meth to people who don't have access to E85. I ran meth for about 6 months quite a while ago, had a fuse pop where my power line was tapped (no ones fault but my own) and the pump quit because of it and I saw quite a bit of KR and a bit lean for a few pulls, but was only on a 5gph or 7gph nozzle, can't remember, and I caught it in time and didn't do any damage. I ripped the kit off the next day and ordered some injectors and started with E85 and the car hasn't seen a drop of 91 since, promised my car I'd never put it on pump gas nonsense again. That was nearly 5 years ago now. So in short my opinion is run meth if you can't run E85, don't get the TVS if you aren't going to run meth (or if you want my real opinion I'd say don't run the TVS if you can't run E85), and if you run meth get a good kit with as many failsafe features as possible because you will need a large nozzle to make it worth your while to get some decent gains.

Mezzano knows. And frankly, nothing wrong with a 300 whp TVS dd on 93 octane.

I could run e85,have one station like ten miles from home but the others are Morgantown and Pittsburgh. So I'd be limited to where I drive.
