Found a saturn transmission with 125k on it for CHEAP. Really thinking about picking it up for the 4.45. Now the question is, should I see how long the stocker rides out or should I just switch it out over the winter while the car is down...

At the power you're gonna be making, the stock Trans won't last long.
Send your Trans and a 445 to Powell.

It's an F35 not 23. That's why I asked if it was a direct swap. The F23 is not.

you have to swap the final drive the shift linkage on the old f35 is a rod setup(no cable) and the shift assembly is in a different location its on the side not the top

He is still around. Just been real busy, and he doesn't have a shop anymore, so he doesn't feel like doing much to the car in his garage in this cold weather. I have vids of his car on my phone that I should post. We made all the 600's in town angry this summer...

Dirty. So the only real thing you want out of that trans is the guts.

the gear ratios 1-5 are the same but you only need the ring and pinion that's what is different(final drive) if the shift linkage location was the same it would be a direct swap
