yeah, that'd be 100% retarded... if you're running twin blowers you're running them in parallel... usually for packaging reasons or you're trying to make a shitpile of power...

Heres a pair of F1R's on a car from yellowbullet

it was mostly intended as a joke regardless, would be a hilarious mass of pipes and intercoolers i still think attaching a lightweight motorcycle engine to a centrifical supercharger would be excellent. a good yamaha engine with an electric start directly driving the supercharger with a single speed trans, run an cowl induction style air intake off the trunk lid and a second exhaust pipe exiting out of the lower right side of the bumper to give the appearance of dual pipes. run a throttle control to keep the engine generating 20 psi and pipe the car like a remote turbo. no back pressure on the exhaust side of the head like a turbo, no parasitic loss off the crank like an sc, just the added weight of the motorcycle engine, which for a smaller all aluminum engine can be as little as 200 pounds. the custom trans would hardly weight anything and their cooling systems are small and light as well.
they tried something similar on a corvette as a joke using two industrial leaf blowers and picked up over 50 horse.

make no mistake, a turbo eats power just like a blower, the engine has to push exhaust throught that turbine, that power is Not free. not to mention that it traps a ton of heat right up against the head with all the problems that brings.

Need to rant...

So last Sunday I ordered a greddy catch can... Needed one for this build, and it came highly recommended by a friend of mine.

So it arrives... this stupid aluminum can with fittings has zero internal baffling... what a waste of $140... Doesnt even have a drain fitting on the bottom of the can...

So I did a little searching on jegs and came across this...

Moroso 85473 Moroso Oil Breather Tank

Just going to run a catch-can breather setup from the back of the valve cover's 3/8 or -6an oem fitting.

nothing fancy

So does it work well?

that internal baffling is just very coarse stainless steel wool. You can do the same with the coarse copper scrubby pads (dont get the ones with soap on them) from the super market. I'm also a fan of using a sintered brass air tool muffler, I find it gets even more out and works as a nice restrictor for the air if you run it straight to a vac source. The secret is making sure you get the oil-air to go through the wool. I run mine bottom to top. Both my ports are at the top but then I run a tube (copper pipe) from the inlet to the bottom above the max oil level (which I have marked on the site tube). I could have set up an auto drain but I didnt want to.

Question for those of you who are catch-can literate... :P

If you were to:
- run a line from the back of a valve cover
- to the catch w/ a breather on it
- then a line on the other side of the catch can runs to the intake

would this work? Does it need to remain a closed system if you run from the valve cover to the intake?

The whole point of running to the intake would be for vaccuum and that would be the problem with the breather.

Unless I missed something

So would if it were ran that way, would it draw in unmetered air?

Should I instead just cap the intake and run the pcv line to that moroso can with the breather and just let it vent. Similar to a breather on the oil cap, just without the mess?

It shouldn't. Most connect to the intake before the Maf.

So under a vacuum with the breather it will draw unmetered air in due to the negative vacuum.

I understand how it wouldn't under wot due to it being positively pressurized. All the vapors, exhaust gases would just go out the breather.

I'm just going to get that nice baffled moroso billet oil/seperator...
