Why am I getting knocks?
try to put some 93 in your car and see if you get rid of the KR.
that should have been your first course of action. and if you cant get 93 up by you get a aftermarket tuner to tune you for whatever the highest octane you have in your area is. putting out the extra 10c per gallon is worth it when the motor is worth 3k

why are u even getting mad.. its his car and he may go WOT anywhere he wants at any wheather he wants... if he messes up his car then its on him...and plus if its snowing or cold as ****, thats when u blast ur heater and put ur pedal to the metal and mess around..
The answer as to why its knocking has been stated already, and its most likely because its 10F and youre doing WOT runs. Stop doint WOT pulls in sub freezing weather and you want get knock. Or MAYBE try putting your 60s back in since for some reason you decided it was wise to pull fuel out of the engine at the same time nature is forcing more in.

Lmao!!! This tread becomes funny!!
I think that I wasnt enough clear for how I act with my car during the winter. Anyway I don't care of any thoughts about it, I'm just gonna say that
1. I did some pulls during ONE day when the road was clean, there was not any snow at all, that was during November. I did that in a long empty road with no cars around and no house, nothing. Then when I saw those knocks, and those knocks were DURING the pull and not at the beginning (I already know that its normal to get knock directly when you depress the gaz pedal).
2. Once I saw that I had knocks, later when I had the chance to pass again on that road, I did a WOT pull in third for testing purpose in order to see if what I saw was real and if I could repeat again what I saw. Again again and again, the knocks occured constantly during the pull, not at the beginning.
3. Since then, I stoped to do WOT pulls cuz I don't want to break my car, I'm not that stupid and I know that doing that in cold weather is not so good for the car too. Talk about a complete newb!
I'm not an expert but I know some stuff lol, the reason why I'm discussing in that forum. That is for knowledge sharing and for knowing what other smart people have to say. And like I said in the beginning, I wondered if the problem could be my plugs OR the cold weather. This can be both of them too... Why I'm thinking about the plugs??? Because the one I have are actually one step colder so... in colder weather this may (MAY NOT MUST) cause knock, I dont know, that is why I'm asking. Normally, you are not supposed to get knock because the intake charge temperature is too hot? That is why cooling mods help getting the knocks out of the way.
And to finish, there is one station here that sells 93 octane gaz but it doesnt seem to help much the knock problem I'm getting in cold weather. I tested once when I tried the 93 octane gaz.
UPDATE
=====
My intercooler pump didnt work for a while cuz I just got ride of the intercooler pump relay. I did that because I didnt flush enough the distilled water which was in my tank, as a result, the coolant just froze. But today, this was a hotter day, the temperature went just a bit over 0 Celcius so I decided to flush about 2 liters of my intercooler coolant and put back some Dexcool. I put back my intercooler pump relay and everything is functionning fine. I hope that this time the coolant will not freeze...
So I decided just by curiosity to do a pull, on that famous long road. NO KNOCK now!!! So I guess that I could get knock because of the colder weather before.
Even if my IC pump wasnt working during a while, the IAT2s never passed 120F, so to me, that was not critical. However, maybe the contrast between the IAT2 and the very cold IAT1 I had, was not liked by my engine, therefore, the knocks I had. When I was cruising however, the IAT2 temps were around 90F. 120F only occured when I didnt move much.
Well, so I'm not worried anymore, everything is fine. Thanx for your thoughts people!
P.S.: For the distilled water that wasn't enough drained... u know, below the OTTP heat exchanger, you have a valve that you open if you want the coolant to exit. I drained the distilled water that way, while the pump was working but I just think that I thought that all the water was drained but it wasnt... I could see some water exiting after many minutes but I didnt thought that the entire system could have like 1.5 liter after I closed the valve. But now I know... next winter, the coolant wont freeze beleive me
I'm so lucky to have a working IC pump again!
Call me ******* if you wish... but the mistake was done, I was too much hard pressed, I had too much thing to do that day :P
